How do you carry? Pocket, Waistband, Rear Pocket?

Depends on how many knives I have on me. Most of the time it is just one in the front right.
But sometimes, I'll have one on a belt sheath and one in the left cargo pocket.

I always carry two knives when I leave the house, even if it is just around the corner for a cup of coffee. I also will carry my edc flashlight, again, even if it is just around the corner for that cup of coffee. My large, single-bladed, locking, deep carry folder goes into my right front pocket with nothing else in the pocket. Don't have to worry about anything, i.e. coins, getting caught up in the knife. I carry change and a slipjoint in my left front, with my wallet in my right rear. Phone goes in a holster on the right font, and flashlight and pen in my shirt pocket. The flashlight is a Leatherman Serac 2, and it rides in a shirt pocket perfectly. I have tried rear pocket carry but never could get accustomed to it so my present set up works great for me.

Usually clipped in right front pocket with a slipjoint in my left front pocket.

I found my BM 710 rides comfortably IWB on my right hip. Anything smaller goes in the coin or cargo pocket.

I keep my Emerson CQC15 as edc in an Uncle Mikes pouch that can be slipped on my belt either vertically or horizontally.
The CQC15 is set up for tip-up carry and works slick as can be when worn in a cross draw configuration in the pouch horizontally on the left front/side for a right handed person.
When pulled from the pouch with a little downward pressure the wave feature snaps out the blade lighting quick with a serious SNAP that gets your attention if you so desire. Though with stealth there need be no sound what so ever.
My hands and pockets are free to do regular daily duty for more mundane purposes with my tool/weapon always comfortably at hand looking innocently like I may be toting a mulltitool.
Try this and you'll like it.

I carry my Benchmade Presidio tip down. With the knife's thickness, it's really a bit bigger than I wanted for an EDC, but really not bad.

A Spydero with a 3-3.5 blade may be a better carry, but for now, the BM is good enough. With 7 pocketknives and counting, I'm trying to limit myself to 1 a year!

My SAK goes in a front pocket. I keep clip knives wedged into the outer seem of a rear pocket. That might change when I get some fatter knives though. If it's fixed it goes on the belt. Full sized multi-tools also go on the belt but at one job I did keep it in my rear pocket, didn't need to sit much though.

By the way...
I must strongly suggest that anyway you decide to edc you do so consistently and with daily practice so that when you need to deploy your blade in an emergency it is natural, effortless and with minimal thought.
Develop your muscle memory so that your mode of carry and the presentation of the blade is second nature, or risk a split second of confusion and hesitation when it is least desired.
And for those who worry about where to rest their hands when at ease...I suggest hooking the thumbs of either or both hands just over the lip of the pants pocket, ready to flash into defensive position and not impede any necessary motion.

Depends on situation, knife and attire. I carry folders in the waistband on the right.
Most fixed knives too but those are sometimes positioned in the front or in the small of the back.
I carry neck knives around my neck. Usually. :)

Those are weapons.

I stuff my "tool" knife in a pocket. Any pocket.

I carry a clipless small-mid folder, Spydie Native, Buck 347, Leek, or, recently, a BM 635 mini-Skirmish, in my LF pocket, with a larger one, 110, JYDII, Blur, etc, in my left back pocket. My RF is for something louder - RR for wallet.

So true, excellent reminder.

I carry my "big" folders and mutitools in the proper belt pouch, except those equipped with clips which go inside my waistband. Only my little "gent" folders are carried inside my front pocket.

This allows for combinations so I can carry a multitool on my belt, a medium folder IWB and a little blade at the same time with no confussion at all. And if I'm only carrying one item it goes to the usual place, I don't allow variations.

However, all of them go in my strong side, maybe I should start carrying something on my weak side to compensate?

Regards.

I'll tell you what i always do is pull my pocket out and let all the lint fall to the floor before i put my folder in my pocket. Otherwise my knife comes out at the end of the day looking like it spent a year in butter bean's belly button.

After reading this thread today I tried the waistband carry method. I like it, it keeps my pocket free for other things and if I place the knife right I can't even feel it. It's just as easy to get it in and out, so i think I'll stick with it awhile...

Thanks for the advice, but I've carried at least one knife every day for the last forty-five years without ever needing to use one as a weapon.

Clipped inside my right front pocket
If I have my Vic Cadet, loose in my right front pocket
And sometimes I have a second knife clipped to my left back pocket

Mostly IWB. It's the most out-of-the-way. That, and when the clip is under my belt, the belt protects it from getting scratched up. The black clip on my Endura still looks as good as new :D

I also carry my Waved Delica like this:
