How do you carry your knife

Mine goes in the right front pocket with a couple of other things.
Pocket watch goes in the watch pocket.
Keys go in the left front.

If I am carrying a knife in my back pocket, it has a clip.

I have been known to use a pocket sheath to position a large knife (like a folding hunter) so that it stays vertical in the pocket. But that's not my usual carry.

My new Case is so small even when I put it in my change (5th) pocket of my jeans, it still disappears!

Hi new to the forum.

The only knife I carry on a regular bases is my fathers care worn case pocket knife. I drop it in the front pocket with the car keys.

I've noticed a couple people say that they carry their knife in a pouch in their pocket, does anyone have any pics of their pouches?

Knife pouch = Purse.

I dono about you all but where I'm from men don't carry purses. :)

I have a desk job, so I do not carry anything in my pockets (a part from a bandana)
So I use different sized leather or cordura belt pouches

If I do carry in my back pocket, I use Ron Ryders Double Back Pocket pouch

Right front pants pocket for me. Bone or stag just gets in there with nothing else. In the case of M.O.P handles I have been known to use a pouch/purse depending upon the knife.

I've got a few of these slip pouches. They keep my edc upright in my pocket, keep it from slipping out of my pocket and protect it. They came from the Custom Knife Gallery of Colorado.

Thalestin, where's that satchel from? It's a beauty.

I carry small slippies in my change/watch/whatevertheheckit'sfor pocket if I'm wearing jeans, but more often than not I use a William Henry clip case, not so much to protect the finish as to keep the knife handy and vertical.

I dislike having a knife lying horizonally at the bottom of my pocket where it's harder to reach, uncomfortable and creates an awkward looking bulge - I got enough junk in there already. :D

Those are great pouches. I have one too. Problem is, you have to remove the pouch from your pocket, remove the knife from the pouch, lay the pouch down or pocket it to free up your hand, open the knife and cut the stuff that needs cutting, close the knife, recover the pouch, insert the knife, and pocket the whole shebang.

The entire exhausting process takes, like, forever or something. I realize that the point of back-to-basics slipjoint carry is to slow down and enjoy the whole walkie-talkie experience, but that's too much of good thing when I just wanna cut something and get on with my life. ;)

I don't favour knife purses, too fiddly but I can see their uses.

Right pocket but with nothing else, I have a horror of keys&loose change assaulting my knife:D

Nice leather pack posted earlier, I like canvas or leather packs, messenger bags etc real man purses:thumbup:

I like leather sleeves for some of my high end slippies but usually they go straight in my front pocket.

I carry my Vic farmer in my right front pocket with all the other stuff in there, and my Case med stockman goes in the left front pocket with a bandana. It's not so much that I worry about scratching my Case, I just use the SAK more so I put it on the right as I'm a righty.

I don't use pouches or anything because I don't mind scratches on my knives but I can see their use with certain knives. Oh and you could always think of them more like a European carry all if that helps at all.:p
