How do you carry your traditional pocket knives?

I like Jake's hint about searching BF via Google!:cool::thumbsup: (But I always seem to forget it. :()

Regarding BF Search function, it usually serves me quite well. For example, I typed "how carry knives" into the Search... box at the top right of the page, checked the box for "Search titles only" and checked the box for "Search this forum only", then clicked the Search button on the bottom left of the Search window. I got 3 hits, all of which seem at least mildly relevant:

I'm sure that appropriately changing the words to search for could get one even more relevant results.

I'll be back to answer the question in the title thread later. :)

Clearly my search skills leave much to be desired!

JTB_5, I'm old and have had lots of practice! ;)
And since the Photobucket fiasco, many old threads have lost much value because so many pics have disappeared.:thumbsdown:
So starting a fresh thread makes sense to me. Besides, newer members will have contributions, and older members may have "evolved" regarding their opinions on whatever issue is of interest.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Pocket knife just gets dropped in the right front pocket. I do have aVictorinox Classic on my work key ring, which always goes in the left pocket. I've never tried a slip but I also don't put anything else in with the knife that would scratch it. All I have to contend with is pocket lint.

I carry traditional knives loose in my pockets.

If you define a Victorinox Alox Mini Champ as a knife (it does have two small blades), then I am always carrying more than one. The usual pocket loadout is: Vic Mini Champ on keys - left front pocket. Case Peanut or other small slipjoint - jeans coin pocket. Optional: medium-sized slipjoint, right front pocket. The right-front pocket is what I consider the "knife I am carrying today" and varies depending on mood or specific need. The Mini Champ and Peanut are permanent fixtures that I rarely think about.

I always carry my wallet in front top pocket with car keys and a traditional knife in a slip in my other front pocket . I prefer my tradionals in a slip or as some put a knife purse lol . Not so much to protect them because there Normally in a pocket by them self . But to stop them from flipping around in my pocket it really bugs me when they do that lol .I have a side leg pocket we’re my larger folder will go . My daily carry usually looks something like this but of course the flavors will change :D

I searched 'Pocket Slips' and got 26 pages of threads. Granted most were just statements. But, some had useful information to your question. You do have to seine thru the repeats. 300

For some reason when I’ve tried using the search function it’s hit or miss mostly miss .

scrubs arent the most secure due to high pockets, but some days i just put them in the pocket and go

I don't wear dresses so I don't need a slip.

If you're worried about stuff getting in the knife or it getting scratched up just fold it up in a bandanna. At least then when you use the knife you already have something out to wipe the blades down with.

But some do wear buttondowns with an undershirt, and not everyone likes to go commando! Bandanna's are cool and make a lot of sense, but then again, if I use my bandana to wipe my sweat, my nose, or something nastier, I'm probably not going to want it oozing into my knife.
