How do you carry your traditionals?

I have a SAK Classic on a mechanics keyring with my fob and a small light.
I normally carry a locking folder in my RFP along with it.
When I can't, I just drop a Swayback Jack or Medium Stockman, loose, in the same pocket, deep-carry style.
I don't trust those coin pockets, plus I fumble to get things out of them.
A few light scratches don't scare me.
If they weren't supposed to look worn, why would people buy the "pocket worn" new ones?
Keep in mind, mine are off-the-shelf Case knives.
If I had a particularly hard to find, rare, or valuable one I think I'd try a thin leather pocket sheath.

Let's see. Big trappers, hunters get a belt sheath or one of those KSP slips. Medium jacks or stockmen go right in the pocket, which is why I highly prefer serpentine shapes and rounded bolsters. Smaller knives, watch pocket. Smaller knives with a bail (Conductor, White Owl, SAK Classic) go on the end of a watch chain with the other end clipped to the edge of my pocket and my 2 keys strung up higher on the chain.

Front right pocket is for a knife and a bandana/napkins, left for lighter and hanging keys with a suspension clip, change goes in the left back pocket, and wallet in right back pocket.

Well, I cannot use a purse or the Bose Patrol will make fun of me, tried a bandanna for a while but gave up on that after I accidentally chucked a very expensive knife about 20 feet through the air onto concrete once when I had too sneeze so bad I forgot about the knife, so now I just drop it into the pocket:p

I usually carry one in my right front pocket and one in my left, sometimes with a homemade sheath, sometimes not. On any adventure, I wear a fanny pack and in it my sm. fixed blade, traditional, Blueline Nebo, pencil, keys, wallet, cell, Clif bar, juice S2/C2 or squirt P4 or Vic, and bandana.

Knife goes in my left front pocket with my nail clippers, tweezers and change. Of course the knife could ride in a pocket sheath, but why since the clipper and tweezers have a small sheath to keep them together and the change goes in a leather change holder(Purse??). Bullet pen, Streamlight and Zippo in the front right.

I usually have three on me at one time, always two. I know, I know, OCD and overkill. I used to have my wallet and/or a small one hand opener in my left back pocket, but I have stopped carrying that one, in favor of just slipjoints. I usually have one in my front right pocket, and one in my back right pocket. Smaller in front, bigger in back, sometimes a big one will go in my coat pocket in the winter. [....] I know that more than one knife is overkill, but it is a holdover from hanging out with knifemakers and survival oriented knife nuts. 3 is 2, 2 is 1 and one is none. In the wilds of western MD and the back country of northern PA, yes. In the offices of Baltimore, I could get by just fine with nothing at all.:

It sounds silly to me now, but when I was a teenager I used to carry two -- one on my keys, mostly so that I couldn't leave home without at least something. I would also carry something better tucked into the coin pocket of my jeans, which gave the keyring knife a second purpose -- to give the teachers something easy to find if somebody ratted me out for carrying a knife. "Oh, you mean *this*? Sure, here you go." It did get confiscated, several times -- not because my clever little ruse (sarcasm) played out, but because I had a tendency to forget the keyring knife was there. I mean, who thinks to change their keys before they go to a concert? :D

[....]
I then started just stitching a small pocket at the back of the right hand pocket of my pants. It separates the rest of the pocket from the knife. It's very easy and works great. Just turn your pocket out, and sew one line of stitches for however wide a knife that you want to carry. The knife slips into the newly sewn pocket easily, and comes out easily. Just push up on the bottom of the knife.
Now I carry any size folder I wish, and it is out of the way, and can't be seen. It's protected, and stays in place. And yet accessible.
It takes me approx. 10 min. to sew a line of stitches into my pocket. Simple like that.

Hey, that's slick! Eliminates the bulk of the pocket sheath, too. Though it seems like it wouldn't do much to keep it in your pocket, compared to a sheath. Still, good idea, might have to try that, even if just for my phone, which has an annoying habit of 'wandering around' in the bottom of my pocket.

RFP: knife, flashlight, keys, change other edc items.
LFP: electronics
RBP: wallet
LBP: bandana

Its been like this for as long as i can remember.

Since about age 12 years old my right front pocket has been reserved solely for a pocket knife... I never have another object in the pocket with my knife.

Belt Pouch
I find them very comfortable and easy to access my knife

99% of the time I carry nothing in my pockets except a bandana

A small black web nylon pouch takes up to a 4" knife, $1 1/2
Small leather takes a 3 1/2" these are $3 1/2 in black or tan
Medium leather takes a 4" stockaman or Congress (and larger knives)
Large takes a folding Hunter

A.G.Russel make some lovely but not inexpensive belt pouches for big hunting type belts

Once in a while a Ron Ryder back pocket 'Blues' double flat pouch

I sewed with hidden stitches a "small pocket" into my right back pocket. :)
A small pocket for the knife and a big pocket for my wallet.
