How do you choose a Case knife?!

Ok everyone I know its been a while since I have posted but I finally got some pictures uploaded.. I have a couple from right when I got the knife and a couple since I have been using it and a patina has developed from cutting up apples and other fruit for my lunches. I really like this knife and am happy with my purchase but I still think I would really like a mini trapper wharncliffe for a different feel knife! anyways, enjoy the pics!

ok so posting of pictures isnt working right now, Ill get them up as soon as I get the issue figured out

I know you were agonizing over what knife to choose, T_MAC, but it looks to me like you made a great decision!
That's a very good-looking Peanut, with that super chestnut bone, and a nice uniform patina on the clip.

So what are you getting next? :D

That Chestnut bone sure does look good - I wish that was the Case "standard" issue handle, with a lot more models to choose from. OH

Yea 5K Qs- I really like the way the patina has turned out so far. I just cut up my apples and wipe it down with a wet and then dry paper towel and it has a really cool blue sheen to it. Idk what Im going to get next but I know I will enjoy the looking process hah

And I agree OH, I really like the color of the chestnut bone. It looks so natural and organic. Do you know if the smooth chestnut (ie. mini copperlock) looks as nice as the jigged?

I don't have the mini copperlock, but I have 3 smooth chestnut and they seem lighter in coloring, but they are still Purrrrty!!!!

A good way to start, and to appreciate the tradition and quality that is Case, I would start with the purchase of the following knives in the listed order:

-Medium Stockman CV in Yellow Delrin
-Texas Jack (I prefer Amber Bone)
-Single Spear Point Bladed Plain Bolstered Barlow (Standard Brands preferred in Caramel Bone)**
-Tony Bose Collab Tear Drop Jack (Pocket Worn Red Bone)
-Sod Buster Jr Yellow or Orange Delrin
-Sod Buster Jr in any of the bone offerings (your choice on color)

This should get you started in fine style, and if you get addicted, you'll start looking for those illusive discontinued models that typically sell for a premium.

** The Barlow, BTW, is discontinued, but some folks still have them in stock. I was told by Case that they're planning on bringing back the single spear point bladed Barlow.
