How do you display your traditionals?

I would be very interested to see how people are displaying their Traditional knives. Whether it's a huge collection or just a handful. I am interested in folder and fixed display examples.


I searched and found a few older threads but I am sure alot has changed in the past several years.

These six drawers in my desk are full of knives.



Here are some of the knives in the drawers. I like to store knives when possible in fishing lure boxes as those boxes have a rust inhibitor impregnated in the cardboard of the box.

I very seldom display my knives because I store them in dark drawers to maintain the cover colors , but when I do , I have a few racks .

I display mine in the palm of my hand when I take them out of my pocket to use them. Apart from that, I really don't.

Like B BrotherJim and yablanowitz , I don't really display my knives other than photos on Blade Forums or when I use them. I have a half-dozen knives sitting on a cloth on a ledge above the kitchen counter; I use them frequently for food prep, and I suppose they're "displayed" on the ledge.

I have a ceramic bowl on top of the gun safe that I keep a few current frequent users in. That's about the extent of my display.

Ikea Cabinet + some cheap strip lighting.



Top floor: vintage slipjoints. That is my grandfather's Buck front and center.


Middle floor: all GECs


Bottom floor: Case, Boker, Camillus, and a some various others. I also have another separate little display of both modern and vintage budget knives that has a bunch of Rough Ryders, Colonials, Imperials and things like that.

Same here, I had a cool credenza from a consignment shop, but made the questionable choice not to move it 2K miles a few years back. Now, some drawers on a Craftsman upright tool chest.

I am of the dresser drawer type. I “try” to keep them “organized” in there but every time I open the drawer all my knives tip over…

I’ll snag a picture and post it up late tonight I’m sure it’ll disappoint
