How do you display your traditionals?

Thanks Glenn and Jack. With that close up picture I know that's not the knife. His had a black handle similar to yours, but was also a lockblade.
Wish I new what it was.

A little bit display. A lot of storage.
The rest of them are in some drawers in the same room.

Ok here it is… I warned you…

My 4 Spydercos and 1 kershaw were removed carefully leaving only traditional knives, as to not ruin the traditional theme. I also made sure to carefully remove them as to not disturb the natural state of the drawer. And a added shot of the GEC boys knife that was in my pocket at the time of the photo.

I would like to point out that I do not pull my drawer open so hard as to throw my knives all over the place. Instead the tracks on all the drawers on all my dressers are broken so everything inside getting thrown around as a side effect of that.

I do neatly organize them about once a week… even though that organization only lasts until I feel like grabbing a different knife.

Maybe it’s time to invest in a padded knife case 🤔

Kevin

Ps: If you think that’s bad you should see the drawer of knives I make for myself…

I believe Carl Schlieper/ Eye Brand had a locking sodbuster model.

Also, obviously not the SAME model, but Boker has their new Rangebuster that would at least be similar.

Is that stray spoon for like stirring your knife collection to determine your carry rotation? 🤣

Once upon a long-ago time at summer camp, whilst myself and some of my closest insipid peers, in our cabin, were honing our skills at tomfoolery, poor organization of our personal belongings, and questionable hygiene -- the door was opened abruptly in the middle of the night by an (understandably, in retrospect) irritated counselor demanding to know the location of "the spoon."

Alarmed, confused, and fearful of being prematurely sent home to disappointed parents, we inquired "what spoon?" to which the counselor replied "the big 'ol spoon y'all used to stir this mess up!"

I liked that.

Here's a random picture of some knives, because, knives:

I have a Gerstner International seconds tool box I keep all mine in. It triples as a great way to store them safely with littles around, a great way to show them off when grownups are around, and a great way to limit how many I can have at any single time.

I’m away right now but I’ll try and get pics later.

Full disclosure: it’s much better at the first two purposes than the third.
