I don't drink much so on the occasions that I do drink in this short life, it better be good enough for me to drink straight with no ice. Mmm... Lagavulin :)

Neat, generally. Maybe with a few drops of water mixed in if it's something special.

Bourbon neat, generally. Occasionally, I'll put a single piece of crushed ice (or a few drops of water) in a cask strength that I want to open up a bit.

It's getting close to tequila season, though - and good tequila is best enjoyed neat. (If it isn't good, it is used for other people's mixed drinks)

Ardbeg Corryvreckan or something else Islay in the cask-strength range, and neat. While a few drops of water can open the whisky up some, I'd rather do that by rolling the delicious scotch around in my mouth while enjoying it rather than diluting it in a glass; ice is sacrilegious.

With a shitty grin and a Pardon 3000, if possible :D

Neat, for me as well.

This thread is screaming for pics...I shall return.

I drink scotch as it should be drunk - with just a splash of water to bring out the flavor, a touch more if it's cask-strength.

I don't usually drink bourbon, except in the occasional cocktail.

I'm with Lecter.

Before dinner (which is most of the time): Macallan 12 (can't afford 18 given my Busse purchases) with ice and a touch of water.
After dinner (rarely): An Islay like Talisker with ice, no water

Scotch. Neat (mostly), rocks, or ice. Depends on the circumstances of the moment.

Scotch, with a beer back, preferably something very hoppy to bring out the peat.

My wife and I both enjoy our single malts straight or just with a drop of water. Lucky me... my Mrs loves scotch as much as I do. Or is that unlucky... she drinks as much as I do!

18yo Macallan or Glenmorangie is our usual favourite, occasionally Laphroaig especially with a cigar (me, not the misses). Tonight though, we are well into a large bottle of Kraken black spiced rum for a change.

For the win: With playmates!

In reality with my amazing wife and family, often with a scoach of water.

In the summer when I lived in Texas, with 2 ice cubes.

I sip on rubbing alcohol --- lands me in the Hospital every time ---- that's how I know it's really good
