How do you explain

I usually tell my girlfriend I got the knife 50 dollars cheaper....on occasions...others she will say "You can spend 200 dollars on knives, I am going to spend 100 dollars on stuff" (Thats fine she usually spends 50 dollars and I usually still spend 100. lol)

Some of my best blades were purchased by my wife, and given to me as gifts! :):)

She doesn't give me a hard time about the money I spend on my hobbies, she only gets mad when my hobbies cause injuries like when I drop a bowie knife on my foot!

My wife is cheap, so my hobby kind of irritates her. But we made a deal early on that seems to work. Every year I get a set amount of money to buy knives. When I first started it was $1000. I could buy two really nice $500, a few $200, whatever. During the year it became a game to add to my budget, she'd give me $100 for my birthday or if I'd do some favor for her, so I usually ended up with more then what I started with. But it worked because she no longer had to ask what the knife cost because all I would tell her was that it was coming out of my budget. As long as I stuck within my budget she didn't care.

I'd say if your knives start to come between you and your significant other, it's time to join a twelve step program or something.

"My name is Jimmy and I'm a knifeaholic..."

I will admit that proudly. i am a knifeaholic:thumbup: and will say that to anyone, anytime:D. If a significant other doesnt understand that...they dont know me very well
