was just wondering how people even do trades with someone online? if the person wants to screw you over, it's so easy for them to do that. if there are two people involved in a trade, and one person sends his knife and the other person doesn't, it's done, isn't it? or do you guys only do trades with people with a good rep?

It's life - crap will happen.
But that is why we have an area like The Good, Bad, The Ugly.
And there is Trader feed back in a persons profile page, for you to check.

Hello,
Trading with someone with a good reputation is an easy way to insure a good transaction. If a new member wants to earn Itrader points he may choose to send his item first as an act of good faith.

I for one would be reluctant to trade with someone with a low post count that is only posting in the exchange.

I have traded with individuals with no rep but that have been active participants, that show that they understand and appreciate the value of this community.

I've done more than a few trades here and on other forums with people all over the world. Never once had a bad experience. Generally speaking if the guy comes across as a decent person in communications then he is a decent person. Call me naive but I find knife people are generally straight down the line and good to their word.

Of course, iTrader does help give peace of mind and I highly recommend the use of it.
