Given the choice I'm usually reaching for a knife with a blade hole. Fan of a good middle finger flick.

Yep, that’s why I voted otherPinch and pull should be on that poll too.
Blasphemy! You uncultured heathen!Absolute worst: Nail nick
I feel you, if I go into the city (Chicago) they have a 2.5" blade limit, yet I carry a pistol with permit. It's been almost a year since I went into the city, but I'm still sick of stupid laws. The thumb stud & disk are the only types of openers that I don't like like because they usually aren't well position for my hand.
I listed autos as my favorite openers. I can't legally carry an auto knife in CA over 2" long , even though I'm licensed to carry a loaded gun concealed. Yeah, it's dumb. I don't own any autos les than 2" long. So, I just get my kicks opening my autos at home alone. LOL!
For general use, I prefer a flipper (front or rear) but thumb holes are fine (I own a lot of them) and, for SD use, I lean towards knives w/wave openers, particularly when I want/need to carry a karambit.
