I picked this up at a local hardware store on sale for about $20. Works well.

This sounds intriguing. Would you mind posting a picture?I use a plastic one piece Sterilite storage unit. It is sitting next to me right now. Mine is skinnier, has three drawers, and HAS WHEELS (manditory, lol) so I can push it to where I am at, and then back to the bedroom when I am done. It is 25" high, 8" wide, 13" deep: purchased at Wally World, I think. I built 2 little wooden shelves (1x1s) with legs that I placed in the upper two drawers so I can store at two separate levels in one drawer. The container is lined with thin packing foam sheets and the shelves have cardboard and foam sheets. I have big users immediately accessable, on the top shelf in one drawer and little users on top in the second drawer. I store fixed blades out their sheaths below the shelves. The third drawer is used for safe queens and non-users in boxes and empty boxes. The bottom needs to have the most weight so it does not tip over when opening shelves. Works perfectly! I store 30-40 in the one unit! Because it is skinny and has wheels I can squeeze it into many good hiding places around the house. It looks like it belongs in the kitchen. Maybe behind the trash can in the pantry?![]()
My wife collects Harmony Kingdom boxes. We started out buying older display cases from collectible type stores as they changed lines. That source dried up as they went out of business. The last local store that closed, after I helped them during their closing, sold me their trio of H.K. branded 6 ft tall display cases. My wife was happy - and gave me her older/smaller displays; one sits on a desk while the other sits atop it's laminated covered base - with locking storage (boxes!). The displays are all glass with high intensity lamps atop them, two glass shelves, and a mirrored bottom shelf. When I bought them used, initially for my wife, they were $50 & $65. Check locally owned Hallmark stores, etc, for similar such old displays. Sure - they offer little security. One could get in them with a hammer... but what a mess. The locking doors keep small hands out. This allows me to 'see' my collection, while offering egress for EDC changes. I did keep the folders in a desk drawer; the fb's in a sock drawer. I do have a small safe - but it's for other goodies.
