How do you store your traditionals?

My users just sit on the dining room table with a microfiber cloth draped over them. Most of my other knives are stored in these wooden cases with dividers. The have a hinged glass lid which cannot be seen in the photo because I have it opened to avoid glare. I can see all the knives in the case without opening the lid. I use Renwax on the carbon steel knives but I don't put anything on the stainless knives. The "Inhibitor" plug in the center is saturated with VCI (volatile corrosion inhibitor) oil for added protection just in case. It's an old photo and some of these knives have moved on but I still use the same method.

I didn't make the cases. I bought them from a non Bladeforums supporting dealer so I cannot mention them here.

For knives that won't fit in those cases I use these Bill's Custom Cases. That's a GEC #23 poking it's head out.

I finally got around to making a display case. The only thing left is to cut more pins, so I can hang up the knives.

VCI is something new to me, thanks for sharing info about that.

empty cigar boxes that i buy from the cigar shop thats slowly becoming a head shop/vape shop.

I have one of those multi-drawer Gerstner chests that I keep knives, pens, and watches in. The drawers are all felt-lined so things don't get scratched or slide around.

i should see if an idiot cabinet maker friend of mine could build a knife cabinet for me.
might even let him see some of the knives
