Do I recall correctly that the 5.1 and 6.0 share the same handle scales?
Yep! Those will be the same handle. All others will be unique handles though.

thank you all for being so welcoming! I have been checking out some of the threads and there is so much great info here! Thank you all and I can't wait for the Hats to start shipping outhaha
What was that old saying? Once you go GSO, anything less is a no-go?
Pre-order placed for a GSO 6 as follows:
1 x GSO-6 (Preorder)
(Steel: CPM-3V, Handles: Orange G10, Fasteners (see product description for updated details): Tumbled, Sheath: Black Kydex, Bow Drill Divot: No, Thank you, Ferro Notch: No, Thank you)
Now I can officially join the b*tch and moan brigade when I'm still waiting as of May 2017
Joking aside, my current order number as compared to the the order which I had placed on Monday 5/09 for a Factory 2nd 4.7 is up by exactly 383 which is a very good healthy sign that the new 5.1 preorder must have added some extra cha-ching in the Survive! coffers!
Nice one!
I have real high hopes for the 6, i think it will be "the one" knife to rule them![]()
That's why I decided not to "sissyfy" it so I avoided the ferro notch and the bow-drill divot
Seriously though, those are the features I would most likely want on a bushcraft model.
Maybe a ferro notch on a GSO 3.5 model would also be a useful feature!
