How does one non-awkwardly approach a knife-bro in the wild?

Comeuppance, where did you find this out at??

Whoa there Dr. Freud. This thread isn't about me, never was. And nowhere in this thread did I ask anyone for a psych evaluation or for their opinions about my personality. If I were going to ask anyone for such things, I certainly wouldn't ask total strangers who have never met me.

The moderators often say "Discuss the topic, not each other", and that's generally a policy I like to follow, but I guess some people are more interested in providing their amateur and unsolicited opinions of my psyche.

You want to make this personal, Ok, I'll play.

Here's my advice to you-

If you see a man you find attractive, don't pretend to be interested in their knife just to strike up a conversation with them. Just go up to them and tell them how hot you think they are. Who knows, they might be your soul mate.

And if some guy catches you staring at his crotch, don't lie and say that you were just looking at his knife. Be honest with him, and be honest with yourself. Tell him you really like his physique and that you want to hook up. Who knows, you might find true love.

But if you see me in public, don't waste your time. Although I am one handsome man, and although I have nothing against homosexuals, I'm not gay, and I would not be receptive to your romantic advances.

How's that for "non-confrontational". Were my evaluations of you anymore accurate than your evaluations of me. Hell, if there's ONE thing that people who actually know me would never say, it's that I am afraid of confrontation, quite the opposite.

You wanted to make this personal, there, now we've made this personal.

Hahaha I was just simply adding onto what he said. You mad it personal by mentioning some fellow wanting to stare at another guys crotch and finding true love. No need to get fussy.

If I were to see you in public I would definitely make sure to say something about your handsome charisma just to make you uncomfortable.. lighten up Francis and with that I'm done making this about "thread" about you and your uncomfortability with a fellow knife nut speaking with you in public.

Not a big deal unless you choose to make it. Remember, last time I mention it so feel free to reply if you feel it's worth talking to an "amateur psychologist" about the ordeal

I saw a guy wearing a Spyderco hat once. I commented on it and he had no idea what it was. "It's just a bug". Guy didn't have all his oars in the water either.

I haven't read every post in this thread, just as a disclaimer..

So I was recently in an Army school house and one of the instructors was mid-story and pulled out a knife that obviously had a wave on it. I had been eyeballing the clip earlier in the week and came to the conclusion that it was spyderco. I had been wanting to say something, but when he made that demonstration of the wave my first thought was.. Endura, wave.. Got it..

So I said, "Hey Sir, Endura? Emerson wave?".. He said.. "Well, actually, yes.."

At this point I had started carrying my 0620CF(just in case this happened).. So I stood up and waved it out of my pocket and said.. "I have one of those too, but today I have my ZT"

I did well in that course. Instant life friend achieved.

Great share. That's why I always take the risk. Even if Im met with a strange glance. Mostly its a great conversation waiting to happen. Otherwise a quick smirk and nod and I'm on my way.
