How Good Are Moras?

badala, why are you saying that the fish-cleaning is destroying the blades?!

I'm just curious as a fisherman. and as somebody who loves actually USING his knifes.;)

samo preveravam da se neko ne zajebava, nisam ozbiljno mislio :D....ti si madzar? kako to da razumes srbski jezik?

I've been considering between the 946 and the 746 (I think). Which would be the better choice overall? Also take into account I'm planning on making my first leather sheath, using the stock sheath as the liner.

Thanks.

Another  for Ragweedforge

Biggest selection of Moras I've seen online.

Earlier this year, Ragnar actually called me at home to confirm an order I had placed. Had a nice conversation with him on his dime. He is tops.

Ragnar +1000

know the man personally. he's an 'old world' trader. he only sells stuff that he'd use himself (and frequently does), and if there's a problem he'll make it right.

I asked my friend (who's a Scout Master) if his Scouts were
allowed to have fixed blade knives to do their woodcarving.
He said no, only folding knives Scout policy.
(emphasis added).
Sigh. :(

National BSA policy does NOT bar fixed-blade knives. Official policy only "discourages" "large" "sheath knives" on grounds of utility. It's in the Handbook.

Some individual Councils and units, with no logical basis they can offer, bar fixed-blade knives. Every Council I have encountered that says it bars fixed-blade also sells them. No official I have (calmly) asked about such bans denies that the kids WILL encounter such knives and need to know how to safely use them. So?????????:rolleyes:

Culpepper, Offical BSA sheath knives substantially predate WWII, the first IRRC being made by Marbles.

Tapasztalat. Arra legjobb a fémfűrészlap." Üdv.

Hi, you don't need to apologise, I was just curious. I don't think anyone here minds :D ( I hope I don't get "speak for yourself" ). :)

Those two knives are pretty much identical. The 946 has a slightly thinner handle, so if you have small hands it may be more comfortable. It should be noted that I have smaller hands and the 746 fits me great. I do like the sheath of the 946 better, but since you are making your own sheath that probably won't matter. I like the 746 better because I have it in military green and my 946 is black, but you can't really go wrong with either.

Oh yeah, big thumbs up for Ragnar and Ragweed Forge. I ordered knives on Sunday, then wanted to change the order so I emailed him on Monday. He had no problems changing the order, quickly adjusted the total and still got the order out on Monday so they were here in Dallas on Thursday. Great service and a great guy.

The Triflex in carbon has a larger handle than the Clippers and is a tad thicker. You wont find a better knife for the money. I have them in all my emergency bags. Car, closet, office etc.
