Before Thanksgiving I didn't know anything, not even what Spyderco was, but I went through rec.knives and recently here with lots of interest. I've learned a lot!

I still haven't bought "my knife" yet. The good news is that the longer I wait the closer I get to something like a small Sebenza (but right now the Kershaw Bump or Al Mar SERE2000 or the Benchmade 710 seem more likely in the larger-than-gentleman-folder category).

On the other hand the longer I hold off the larger the budget and I may just go for a small concealed carry firearm (even tho the proposed knife would be a last resort defensive option in any case--I'd just like to handle a fine knife as I sit around the house )
