How good are you?????

I scored 76%. Probably would've been zero if I hadn't been visiting these forums for the last couple of years.

Knife expert!
85 % knife knowledge!
Excellent! I'd be happy to take a knife test you created - it will probably be quite a challenge!

98% WOHOO!

I knew all but the one I guessed on... I think I guessed wrong!

That was fun.

I took this one a few months ago, and got around 93%. There's definitely a correlation with membership time vs. score, usually.

Stick around, you'll learn...

Daniel

99% :)

I was paying more attention to the technical inaccuracies (i.e. Micarta is a phenolic laminate, not epoxy) . . . I spend way too much time on the forums.

I'm pretty happy with 70% and better than 53% my age... after all, I only started on knives three or four months ago. :o

Had to make a number of guesses, though.

91%. Actually tougher and with better questions than I thought. Pretty cool.

"Ethan Becker also is known for being....?" LOL!

I got 88%, but only better than 53% in my age/gender group, which probably would have been higher if I'd claimed to be an 18-year- old woman (and not a guy of 47!)

I suspect that folks who think they got '40 out of 40' didn't get to the end of the registration thing -- the page after the end of the test told me that I'd 'answered 40 out of 40 questions' which isn't quite the same as getting 100% correct . . .

cool test though! (and Ethan Becker is a famous what?)

I got "Very knowledgable" and 79%.

In my age group (18) I got beter than 70%. I do wish it would tell you which ones you got wrong.

Is this the one Quiet Storm made?

Yep, I created that test.
Wanted to make a follow-up, but couldn't think of another set of 40 questions that focuses on many different aspects of the knife industry without being too biased towards one thing or another.
I do have about 20 new questions stored somewhere on my hard drive. Since you guys seem to have enjoyed part one that much, I might try to think of 20 more questions so I can compile a sequel.

This is the original thread.

Unfortunately their software doesn't include such a feature - or at least it didn't back when I created that test.

A few stats in case anyone's interested: people between 45 to 49 score higher in the test than any other age group. It's been online since 8/27 2005 and 1,771 people have taken it so far.
