I just mailed my Galley wag to Washington so Mykel can play with it for a while. I have been thinking that perhaps some of the rest of you would like to try it out. This will not be a "try to kill it passaround" but more of a "use it like it was yours passaround". If you want to give it a try, let me know and we can get a list going.

John's 1/16" O1 is top notch. The ONLY negative is no "K". :)

Thanks Mack,I'll be happy to pass it on to the next person.
It'll be good to compare it to my 1/16" Improved Bowie.

Andy had John put the K put on a rivet IIRC,wish I had remembered to ask John to do that for my IB.

now there's an idea, I like it.

I'd be up fro trying the Galleywag, if it gets going, I liked the bigger brother very well, although I'm already trying out the 1/16" with the ULH, so I can be bumped if needed :)

Nice, Mack!

There are going to be some believers in both John's 01 and the Galley Wag design - both are outstanding!

Here is my 'Wag

And here is what a K looks like on a handle pin - I had him do it first on my modified Wharncliffe -

It will be fun to watch the Galley Wag Passaround.

It's good to see some interest. Since I haven't been home it has been kinda neglected.
I was just chatting with my friend "Unit" and he will get it after Myke. I've been using a straight razor and Spyderco that he has sharpened for me and I asked him to put one of his edges on this too. Whoever gets it after him better be careful. It will be SHARP!!!:D

Mack...i would LOVE to check out the galleywag. I have thought about reaching out to you to request this very thing. So, yes...please count me in, if that's ok with you. Thanks very much.

and also, please let me know if there is a model i have that you would like to check out. i would be happy to return the favor.

You are on the list. Thanks.
As for me trying out some, as long as I am on the road it is really hard to do. Once I am off the road in a year or so I will be doing a lot of testing while I fish, hunt and enjoy life on the Oregon Coast. We'll be in touch then.:D

Aye! 'tis indeed. There is a light and the end of the tunnel but with my luck it's a train.:D

I don't know if I'm eligible for a passaround, since I'm new here - I'd love to check it out, but no hard feelings if that doesn't fly. :)

That is mighty kind of you! I can't see my Otter Creek leaving my belt long enough to try another one though. I want to send it to John to make the horizontal cross draw sheath but can't do it yet.

Stick around, get to know us and when the time comes I'll be sure to let you know.
Welcome to the friendliest bunch of knife knuts on the web.

I'd be up for giving it a try, using it to cut cheese and sticks and stuff as is my wont. :)

Thanks!

You're on the list. I am anxious to hear your opinions.

So very cool of you to do this Mack! I can already vouch for Johns 1/16" 01 steel, It Rocks! That Galleywag is a great looking blade for it too, I bet is just sails through foodstuff with the greatest of ease, I know my SAMs Swayback in 1/16" does ;)
