I think they do make one called the penguin that is a framelock.

I just got a Hest/F Urban Framelock and I’m extremely happy with it. The fit and finish are impressive.

My original Hest2 is one of my favorite knives but it’s tough and a bit unrefined.

The Urban is a beautifully tuned knife so the really aren’t comparable

Sorry to drag this thread back up but i was researching the Hest Urban - i really like the size and the blade shape - and I found a lot of info here. And a fair bit of drama too . Anyway, have there been concerns about the "end cap" (stainless, I assume) on the titanium lock bar? With the stress and shock put on that bar thousands of times, I’m not sure I’d trust those two little screws

I actually no which knife you are talking about. I hope you will take the time to handle one of the new ones made by Southern Grind. You will notice a lot of differences, quality at another level, and the logo is no where to be found. You can see that in the pics I put in the post above!

Were the kickstarters also made by Southern Grind?
