How impressed I am with the Vallotton Sub-Hilt

I just got a brand new Vallotton Sub-Hilt delivered yesterday and I just have to say that this thing is the most beautiful , well-built , nice and beefy yet elegant knife I have ever come across. I find everything about it exquisite. Polished G10 is stunning. As well as the seemless integration of the liners and back spacer. Not to mention the absolute best "thwack" I have ever heard from a liner lock (or frame lock too for that matter). The fit and finish looks like the work of a custom knife maker. The Taichung makers truly are masters of their craft.

I just ordered a second one today. A knife this mighty and majestic is something I must have at least two of. My thanks to Sal , Butch and the master craftsmen in Taichung for this outstanding piece.

True.....No picture means you sir are a filthy liar. :)

That said, I've never handled one but they are on my short list. Beatiful knife that looks like one of the best Spydies ever.

The auto/Dual action is the one I've been drooling over. I can't remember the guys name who makes them(someone else will!), but hot damn do I want one. I love the idea of dual actions and putting it on a blade as beautiful as the Vallatton just makes it that much better.

I wish I had more money.. Haha.

Though not my style the Valloton is a technological masterpiece on the part of Spyderco. The quality is beyond most customs could hope for. To get a knife with these features one would expect to pay upwards of $1000. I like these modern linerlocks where they have taken on making the liners as thick as a framelock. Nothing pisses me off like a super thin linerlock. (Looking at some of the Vioer linerlocks)

If you don't mind telling us, what were the differences between the two, that made you prefer the Lil Subhilt? Size, for one, I'm assuming...?

Beautiful knife, I agree. Sold mine though. I actually prefer the 'Lil Subhilt.
