We are now 4 days into gun season in Ohio and it has been really slow around here. Can't remember the last time that I have seen this few hunters out. We haven't had the greatest weather but generally that doesn't stop the die hards. I have gone 4 straight days of not even seeing a single deer. Not sure if population is down or if lack of pressure from hunters is keeping them from moving much. Hopefully others are having better luck than me.

How are hunting seasons going in your area? Pics of hunting trophies are always welcome. Heck at this point the best chance I have of seeing a deer is if one of you guys posts a pic. I think I may be forgetting what a deer even looks like.

I'm in the same situation in NE PA. Pretty slow opening day. Heard a few shots from a far, but that is all. Only know one guy who got a buck. Weather was crummy tues, weds. Hoping for a better day this Saturday. Good luck to you and all the other hunters.

I got nothing during rifle season, ashamed and depressed, could still try for one with bow but would have to buy another tag to be legal. Its over, might shoot some more grouse this year but done with deer. As warm as the weather has been should have been duck hunting as the lake is still open in decemeber in MN! Saw bunch of does, not a single buck. My sister got married day of rifle opener:rolleyes:, so think that got me off my game, more important than hunting anyways, didnt get out until 4 days after, plus didn't get nearly as ready as should have been, area where I hunt have not heard of anybody getting anything decent. Think me not getting one is really gonna light a fire under my a $$ for next year. Wish could have got to used sykco skinner.:grumpy:

My stepbrother got a 14 pointer, couple hours away drive from where I was. Other gratuitous deer pics. Hope you get something Garth!!!! Good luck.

I've bagged two small ones where I'm at in Texas. One small buck I didn't realize was a buck (thought it was a doe.)it was getting to dark and it was almost 200 yards away so I knocked it down and walked up and it was a buck big body small stunted 8 point rack. Also took one small doe. Overall a pretty slow year here too we haven't seen the quantity or quality we normally see. Thanks for reminding me I lost a buck tag!

Deer are not moving where I hunt. The drought here in AL is.hurting hunting

Sounds about the same here, been a very, very slow season.

Here's some pics from late summer / fall but their ghost now.

Sorry for the poor pics, done from phone

Minnesota season opener was good to me. Filled my tag with one muzzleloader shot right as shooting time started. Not much to the thing. It was a year old at most. Still got about 60 pounds of food out of it.

What's the weather like in ohio? I find deer tend to relax the warmer it is.

I got a buck this morning. Used my hg55 to skin him but was so excited I forgot infi pics

That's a great buck mate !! Congratulations !!

No more hunting for me this year, next trip after game will be maybe in mid-February for Fallow (ugh...so farging hot :( ) and then the mate and I fly to New Zealand on Feb 26 or 27 to get a chopper into the bush on 1 March... lots to get done before then though....

Got a big bodied stunted racked 4 point with a bow last Friday. Rifle opened Wednesday here and haven't been out yet.
Deer are moving pretty well in NE Kansas. I'm going out both Saturday and Sunday so maybe I'll get some more meat for jerky.

Things are good in Texas... took this one at about 275 yds with Custom 7mm STW wearing Zeiss. Field dressed with my meaner street.

Nice deer guys! No bucks for me this year, just two nice does for the freezer. First year hunting with my silencerco suppressor though so that was a lot of fun! set my dads Tikka T3 .300 WM up with one too!
