I strongly believe, and practice, that if you have a problem with a company's product
you should take it up with them through PM's and/or E-Mail before posting the problem on their Bladeforums subforum. Give them a chance to make things right.

So how long should I wait with no response after sending the PM and E-mail about a current serious problem (functional, not cosmetic) before going public on their subforum? I am thinking that at least one complete work week is about right.

And lest those who know me as a strong fan of Busse Combat jump to any conclusions, it is not Busse.

Many companies have spam blockers that may have diverted your email. Send them another email and PM, and look for a phone number on their website. A phone call will probably yield the quickest results. If still no response from the second set of PM/email and no luck with the phone call, then I'd post it in their subforum. Good luck

+1 on trying to reach them by phone before going with public with any concerns. Trying to get a response via email/PM seems like it's really hit-and-miss from one company to the next; some are good about promptly responding to emails, others aren't (but will take great care of you if you give them a call).

I received a reply this morning, they seem genuinely concerned and they are advising me on how to pursue a solution.
