How many and what Rambo era style survival knives do you have?

CRK Shadow IV. Not as exciting as what I see here, but still gets the job done!

I've got a Kabar military issue as well, but no hollow handle on that bad boy..

One POS import complete with the bulbous compass in the handle. it's too crappy to use for anything, but I can't get rid of it- was a birthday present from my Grandfather when I was 14 or so, another one of those things I'll pack around for the rest of my life, but never use. To give due credit though, it was given wiht the best of intentions, and he's given me several other knives before and since that I cherish, And he is the main person responsible for helping me become the shameless blade addict that I am today.

None. Rejected the movie and survival knife craze outright due to personal experience regarding real troops with real knives in the real Vietnam. Could expand on this, but would be way off subject.

Gronk,

I don't really buy the survival thing either. If a crisis ever does come up I hope to either avoid it, or quickly overcoem it and live in style. None the less the survival knife fad generated some really interesting knives, true many are ineffective, but many others were well done and imaginative designs.

BTW, Bubba, you and I must be wandering around the same haunts. I just missed buying that Greco Bowie of yours a couple of months ago. You lucky bastid

Blackjack 1-7
Puma White Hunter
Cold Steel Bushman, regular and mini.

Not all hollow handled "Rambos" but could all be considered "survival knives"

Leroy Thompson wrote a book titled ''SURVIVAL/FIGHTING KNIVES'' in it he tests several,he said the Marto Brewer Explorer was his personal favorite comercially avail hollow handled knife. Now I'm no expert so I like to take advice from as many as I can. I searched and searched but it must have been out of production, well I finally got one and MAN! it is nice super strong and a saw tooth back that actually works, like the ones on the SAKs.Anyway I love it its the only Rambo Knife I've kept. I even sold my project 1 only because I needed the money but mostly because I was afraid to get it scratched or lost. My Brewer Explorer goes with me everywhere.
