How many are going to see Act of Valor this weekend?

I loved the HBO series Band of brothers and the Pacific. As for the movie you guys are talking about I havent even seen a trailer yet. I do howver work 2 jobs and get 3 or 4 hours of sleep a night that might be why heh.

I saw the preview for it a couple of months ago, wow it's coming out already. Very excited to see this one too. Did I read that right Trevor? Too expensive to take the family to the movies?? Have you been posting fake pictures of a Busse collection this whole time?:D

Yeah, precisely what I was thinking...

I don't usually go to the theater, being a fan of my home version with adult beverages and good popcorn, but this is on my "must-see" list! :D

How do you think he got that collection?

I am definitely going to see that movie :D It's so awesome that real life Navy Seals are involved in the movie. It gives it so much more meaning

I loved the HBO series Band of brothers....

Excellent series. The Episode about Bastogne (and what happened on 9-11) motivated me to become a 68W/Combat Medic.

My 10 year old son really wants to see Act of Valor. I'm kinda undecided as to whether it would be age appropriate.

Those of you who have seen an advanced viewing, would you recommend that a child his age (10) see this movie? (I would be there, of course.)

nothing to bad. the worst thing that comes to mind is dead guy laying on the ground and a puddle of blood runs out from under him.

just remembered there is a torture scene, they dont really show anything horrible but they really imply it... that part might be a little intense if he understands whats going on.

Just saw it and I highly recommend it. The combat scenes were obviously Hollywood, but still very good. The acting parts, while obviously not the SEALs forte, weren't bad at all. I've seen worse from "real" actors. The weapon handling is all you'd expect it to be, and the gear display was impressive. 2 thumbs up.

Not me, unfortunately. Was hoping to get done with work early, but alas, no. :(

I snuck out of work early today to go watch it. I thought it was absolutely awesome. As previously mentioned, you can tell that the main characters aren’t professional actors but I’ve got to give these guys some props. They did much better than I ever could have. The action scenes made up for this 1000X. Weapons handling was on point and accurate. I have heard recently that not one second of the movie was CGI.

Being a father there’s no way that I would take a 10 year old to watch this movie. A ton of blood, gruesome headshots, torture scenes, and I may be mistaken but I could have sworn that I saw one guy’s eye hanging out of the socket.

Favorite scene involved an RPG to the chest…….

Many props to the bad a$$ guys that were featured in the movie and to the many others that are on the front lines doing the real thing (I realize that the guys in the movie are legit and doing the real thing every day)!

If only you all knew what these men really go through just to be able to do the things that the rest of us only get to see on the big screen. If only...................

God bless the brotherhood

I drove 150 miles round trip in a blizzard to go see it tonight. I loved all of the action scenes and the weapons handling.Nothing but what you would expect from professionals!!! I think every American should see it just to drive home the fact that freedom is never free!! God bless the brave men and women that go into harms way for our freedom! Semper Fi!
