How many big old lock back fans we got around here?

I own several and carry one when I hunt or work out in the woods or on one of the farms. I carry a Buck 110 when I deer hunt, a Buck 112 when I turkey hunt, and a Bucklite 112 when I work on the farms. OH

Ps Don't know what I was thinking - no pictures!

They are a pocket full that's for sure. And those leather belt sheaths went out of style years ago. I however have never been a slave to fashion. My wife and daughter can attest to this.
I agree that modern folders are easier to carry, lighter and have all the modern bells and whistles and I like them as well. But there is just something about the look and feel of these old boat anchors that is comforting and i guess familiar to me.

I've got "more than a few" Buck 110 and 112's. Last year or two I haven't been carrying them as much, but when I do...

I tend to favor the one's that I have done a "pocket melt" treatment to :)

I recently got a 110 for the first time. Its really taken alot of pocket time away from my lone modern folder. I really enjoy the size and heft for yard work and other heavy use around the house. About the only time I carry my modern knife anymore is when I'm in heavy bush and think the bright handel will keep me from losening or on the water and want a lanyard. Even then sometimes I still grab the 110.

A buck 112 or 110 and or a Schrade LB-7 every day for 40 years monday thru whatever it takes to finish a job highly trusted and reliable WORK knife.

Edbeau, fantastic collection. I have always wanted a Imperial Backpacker.

40 years is along time to stick with one general style of knife. Your loyalty speaks highly of these tried and true knives.

Grateful, The Backpacker is a very light knife compared to other Lockbacks as the bolsters are not solid.

I fixed up a 110 from a yard sale. Put some black ebony inlays on it. It's starting to become in the pool of knives for EDC. It amazes me how comfortable it feels in my hand. Had to make it into a drop point because of damage from batoning and bad sharpening.

Lighter is good when it comes to my gut, but the heft of something like the traditional Buck 110/112 is more comforting and reliable than anything else. And that leather sheath does just fine with my leather belt, denim pants, and (Danner) boots - but maybe that is another thread. ;)

I usually have a 112 and a couple are put away for the kids. Lately the oak scaled 112FG is my favorite and almost always with me.
