How many big old lock back fans we got around here?

Will, That Fontenille-Pataud 4" LOCKING Laguiole in Ram's Horn is sure a beauty!

Thanks, appreciate that! FP do a very good Lag and many are lockback, the Ram's Horn on mine doesn't match but both sides are attractive and I actually like this.

As a teen I carried an Old Timer with 3 1/2 inch blade (forget the model OT7? OT8?) I presently have a Uncle Henry LB7 (new made) and just ordered two bone handle Rough Rider lockback's, one with 3 1/2 inch blade, the other 3 5/8 inch, since I like their slipjoints so much (and the bone handles). I'm not sure yet which Rough Rider is going in the Uncle Henry belt pouch. Could not make up my mind which I liked better ... the single bolster or bolsters at each end ... so I ordered them both. (bit the bullet on a Rough Rider ULU, too). With a little bit of luck, they will arrive before I have to hit the road again.
I'm not sure if they "count" for what the OP intentioned, but I also have a Cold Steel Eland and Kudu "ring lock" knives, and an Opinel Number 8.

this hobby could/can/is getting expensive ... even with low cost knives ...

Just acquired Buck 112, I like the size.

My one and only Buck 110 Custom. Mirror polish blade, N/S with pins and water buffalo scales

I have tremendous respect for the 110 and started out with one but every other week I rotate out with a 500 or 112 and carry my 112ELs at work the Bucklite Max rides in my backpack.

edbean Nice knives you have posted pictures of, I have a Camillus made Craftsman lockback and would like to add a Schrade built one like yours to the collection. The Western is also pretty cool, I have never held one, only seen pictures of them. Your 110 is of course, a beauty.

Peter Parker Very nice group of Bucks you have pictured there, they build lockbacks right.

I love the big lockbacks. I call em Lockback Hunters. I will have to round mine up and take some picture. I must have 15+ of them. Thank you for starting this thread.

Yep! There is nothing wrong with the other brands; my wife carries an old wood handle Uncle Henry. I'm partial to the Buck lock backs and really like their 420HC steel in them. The 110 is just a little to much weight for me.

Like 'em but don't use them that much. Too heavy for my general taste.
