How many Emersons do you own?

Cool!
Thanks, men.
Ramzar- Pix then.

I may wait for my old 2006 Commander and CQC-7BW to be returned from Emerson sometime next week.

Does Ernie mind if I post pictures of non-Emerson knives as long as they license the Emerson Wave opening?

Sure it's doable, but it's easier to wave a knife if it isn't carried deep in the pocket.

Hmm. I've never had an issue even with waving out from full on inside pocket carry.
It all (minus the reverse gripped karambits) follows the same path to wave... only initial indexing is slightly altered, but not hindered.

Not saying there is an issue with waving from deep-carry, I'm saying that it's easier to wave if the knife rides normal in the pocket with the standard clip.

I can open and close any of my Emersons with either hand easily, but the design favors the right hand, so while I have no problems with lefty use, it's definitely easier using my right hand. Understand now?

When you wave from deep-carry, you apply extra pressure on the clip, or your index finger blocks the blade path. I have Emersons with deep-carry clips, I know. When using the standard clip, you have a spot to grip that doesn't affect pocket retention or interfere with the blade path.

My two old 2006 Emersons just came back in tip-top shape from Emerson Knives. I dropped them off on Friday afternoon! Fast turnaround and great repair work. Plus now they're super sharp including the serrations.

Here are my 6 Emerson Knives from top to bottom: Commander, CQC-7BW (both from 2006), A-100-SF, Mini M-A-100-BT, EDC-1 and ZEALOT-SF.

Are you a lefty carrying right tapped clip in left pocket? Forgive me-- trying to follow. Very karambitish if so :D

To be honest, the pressure I put on the clip is negligible with a low rider equipped Emerson compared to a regular clip for waved deployment. I just don't notice the difference. And my finger(s) never block(s) the path of the blade...

Righty, carrying RFP. Your clips must be loose then, as the deep-carry clips usually are. Tension on them is miles apart from the stock clips. Still, I find it hard to believe that you find it easier to wave an Emerson carried deep vs. the default clip position. When you say that the pressure you put on the clip is negligible, how do you pull it out with no pressure from your index finger? I've do it a lot with my waved Emersons that have deep carry clips, and little or negligible pressure is still more than zero.

Sorry for derailing the thread.

^ RFP gotcha. Well, I said the pressure from my index finger is negligible when compared with stock clips for deployment. And I never said it was "easier" deep vs. default-- I said it's pretty much all the same for me, having zero issues (not zero pressure). It seems like you misread what I have said... haha not trying to be a jerk or come at you my friend. I just didn't agree that "low rider = no bueno for waved deployment" in my experience.

Apologies here as well for derailment all.

I've owned 3. Currently I have a full size roadhouse (love it). I sold off a mini CQC 15 and a mini commander. Took me 2 mini emersons to realize I need the full size for hands lol

Cool! ^
Thanks to David Stokesman, I will have 4 Emersons very soon. A CQC-7B W BT PS.
Thank you, David.

I have a few pieces :)

By the way, recently figured out how to cut the blade from a piece of steel ..
