How many H1 knives do you own?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone collects H1 Spyderco's. I used to have 5 of them but I ended up trading them. I got an Atlantic Salt on Saturday and I have a Salt I and a Pacific Salt on the way!

In the near future, I plan on getting a Spyderhawk, Jumpmaster, and an H1 Ladybug!

I only have 4. Spyderhawk, Tasman, Aqua, and Rock Salt. Used to have a Pacific but sold it off. Need to get one of the Ladybugs...

I have 3, Tasman, Pacific and a Spyderhawk. Waiting for funds to get a Ladybug Hawkbill

H1 is the answer to an unasked question. If someone has problems with VG10 or S30V blades rusting, well, they're basically storing their knives in a bath of battery acid and salt water. Sure, H1 is rustproof. Big deal. It also (by all reports I've read) has awful edge holding properties compared to other Spyder steels. So it's not worth the lessened edge retention for what you're gaining in corrosion resistance. Not if you take halfway decent care of a "normal" stainless Spydie bladesteel alloy.

There's no "there" there. Take a pass on the whole H1 lineup unless you plan to store your knife in an old car battery. :(

While it's true that PE edge holding is nothing spectacular, H1 has what is probably the best edge holding of Spyderco's normal steel offerings when it comes to serrated edges. It's also extremely tough and can tolerate a lot of abuse. Edge holding is not the only measure of how useful a particular steel is.

Actually, I have yet to lose a tooth on my serrated H-1 Spydies. I can't say the same for VG-10. It isn't the end-all, be-all of knife steel, but it works pretty good in serrated format.

How many? 11 I think. Less than the number of C07 Police Models I have.

Three. Serrated yellow Atlantic salt and 2 black Tasmans., one PE and one SE.

Three here, Salt-1 PE, Salt-1 SE, Pacific Salt PE. I wouldn't say that I collect them though since they are all working knives:D

One: Caspian Salt. No real need for H1 here, just love the look.

I've rounded the edge of my H1 Ladybug and Salt several times during normal usage. A quick steel brings it back - but I usually just hit it with the WEPS and they pop right back. I definitely urge everyone to take a higher angle when sharpening - 36-40 seems to work for me. 30 or under just doesn't work in my experience - it just bends right over...

Been to the Amsterdam Spyderco Meet yesterday, and one of the knives we got to handle was an H1 Dragonfly with yellow FRN handle.
The blade has an extremely high hollow grind so there is no need to send it to Brad Southard for an fffg job, and i can tell you already that this knife is on my shortlist.

I got 2. Both Salt-1s one SE one PE. Love them both. They see regular use and have good edge retention.

5, including a serrated ladybug that opened a coconut in the Bahamas...they can do anything

None -- I don't have the need for the rust proof properties -- and I won't be snorkeling with my Gayle Bradley anytime soon :) I am interested in the upcoming Rock because it is VG10 rather than H1....
