How many Izula owners don't wrap the handle?

I tried wrapping it a few times but it just didn't do it for me.

So its just left naked...

Finally tried to wrap it in neon orange after my friend lost his. So if anyone up in the Blue mountains finds one, I think he'll like it back.

Anyways, i did it a little differently and I quite like it, definitely more comfortable and stands out a lot more.

No wrap for mine.

The big issue for me was that the paracord would always get wet and take forever to dry.

I pocket carry my Izula so I got tired real fast of having the wet cord handle in my pocket getting my pants wet (that sounds odd :D;))

I had the same thought. I like the feel of paracord, but I don't like the fact it takes the wet cord a long time to dry (I can be fussy too :D).

So I was thinking that a different material might work to make a nice grippy handle that filled my hand a bit better. Silicone tape.

I need to work on this concept a bit, but it has some potential. The tape is "self-fusing" and doesn't seem inclined to come off. I may need to add a few more layers for a better feel. I strikes me the a fire steel could be cut to size to fill the gap in the handle, a fish hook or two could be added, the handle could be wrapped with monofillament and then over-wrapped with more silicone tape. The possibilities seem endless. Anyone else tried using this stuff?

Mine is wrapped again, this time in black.

I sorta sidestepped the whole finishing knot issue by using a clip on cord end. :D

i wrapped mine in OD green and orange paracord incase i dropped it. hopefully since half the wrap is orange it wouldnt be too hard to find.

It felt fine with no wrap, until I wrapped mine. I have to be careful though, when I cord wrap a handle sometimes I go overboard. I had to re-wrap my Izula a couple of times. I have a pinkie lanyard and a wrist lanyard built in to the wrap. I like having the option of one or the other depending on what I'm doing.

Hey Rotte - glad I'm not the only fussy one around ;)

I guess its not just the wetness thats bothersome - I've cut a lot of raw meat with my Izula and it used to get all over the paracord - whos to say what type of bacteria was growing in there :barf:

That stuff is a great idea - I will have to pick up some and give it a shot. I had tried using some ranger bands but the sloping handle was not conducive.

Thanks for the heads up!
