How many knife nuts do you know?

Sacramento,CA - Know one certifiable knife nut, and two enthusiasts, all living in Sacramento!

About 6 or 7 I think and they're all on this board.

In fact, at least 3 of us hang out semi regularly.

0. But my girlfriend retains residual knowledge from me,although she doesn't share my enthusiasum. Maybe she's a .5.

i'm in Norman, OK

i know a lot of people that EDC something like a Kershaw, Gerber, SAK or Leatherman, but i'm not sure how many of them really know much about knives or steels. i'd say 1/5 of people i know carry something, i see a LOT of people with clips on their pockets

my brother showed me this place and introduced me to steels, grinds, etc... he's about the only person i really know that is on here... although i think a guy i know through him is on here as well so that kinda makes 2

One. We started talking about knives and I showed him my knife and was surprised to see him pull out a brand new Kershaw E.T. (this was just after it got released.) He's usually more into slip joints, though.

My rich uncle carries a William Henry, my buddy carries his Apogee or perhaps a Blackout, and I carry my Benchmade or DeltaZ 360 Pivot usually.

Almost forgot my cuz.. I think he favors Strider but not sure... Yep, lots of knives around!

UK

I just found out last year that my little brother (aged 47) is into knives in a big way....
he spends most of his time travelling to the USA and back, to Texas and to DC.

So, I guess he gets lots of shopping time...

He is the only other knife nut I know.

I always EDC slipjoints...... usually American made ones; he can afford to carry custom folders.

Location - Suburb of Detroit

# of knife Knuts - 3 (two of them are twins so I'm not sure how that works. Their DNA might be close enough to classify them as one knife nut). :p

My best friend at work actually got my into knives. I am lucky that there are a couple other knife nuts here as well. By and large though, there aren't that many around. I do know a couple guys that think they are really into knives...but they collect fantasy crap and tend to not like the quality stuff...so I am not going to count them.

I know of three knife nuts... me, myself, and I. I gotton some funny looks and weird comments for being known as a "knife nut," so I keep it rather quiet now.

Quebec city Canada.

Not enough, the less you know, the more you are considered like a freak.

Location: Grand Rapids, MI
K.K.K. (Knife Knuts Known): 1 my newly acquired brother-in-law.

My brothers all hunt and fish with me, but they are happy with their $10 chinese beveled barstocks. Actually one brother has a habbit of buying the cheapest knives he can find, just because they are cheap, so he doesn't count.

You know what's weird. I work in an office building and carry daily. I have friends that work construction and other "hard labor" jobs and they don't pack anything.

I've gotten a couple of my friends to carry knives, but I don't think any of them are necessarily that knowledgable about blade steel, lock types, etc...

So, zero knifeknuts for me.
