How many knives are in your collection?

So my husband thinks I'm a little crazy for having so many knives (he thinks 1 is enough), and so far I only have about 16 (not counting some junk knives I was gifted over the years). My guess is lots/some of you guys will make my 16 seem laughable. Am I still at least mildly sane? ;)
 
I have about twenty-five or so. But i have never spent that much, I go for inexpensive knives. I haven't been collecting for too long though. :)

I currently have 5, although one is up for trade. I usually never have more than 4 or 5, but they seem to be constantly changing and evolving. I find it interesting how my tastes and needs have changed since starting this hobby.
 
I've been collecting for almost 6 months now, and in that time, I've acquired 10 knives. Those have all been Kershaws. I think I'm going to be buying another very soon. So far I have 2 Orange Skylines, 2 Brown Skylines, Crown, Cryo, OD-2, Black-Bladed OD-2, Black-Bladed Tanto Zing, and a Desert Sand Blur Blem.
 
I am currently at 22 (not counting throw aways), and try to keep it to around that number by trading and selling. Even still, there are some that do not get a lot of pocket time. I like to keep my collection varied so I have something for any mood I am in. If it make you feel better, my wife thinks I am bonkers.
 
I have twenty in my collection. I was not aware that I had that many till I just went and counted them. I probably have a few more in various tool boxes, and in different drawers in the garage. Twenty plus is safe to say.
 
Last time I checked I was surpassing 50 knives and had more to buy...you're still quite sane...probably have money left in something resembling a savings account, too...:D
 
6. I had as many as 20 but medical bills and such made me realize keeping just the users was better for me as they are not that liquid in a time of crisis. Well the tanto zing seems to be hanging around no matter how hard I try to get rid of it lol.
 
I just downsized mine to 10... I've said it a million times, quality over quantity. If there is a knife I really like, but don't think it'll be a keeper I don't buy it. And if I own a knife that I really like but I don't see myself keeping it forever, I sell it.

That's maybe 10% of the total.

16 is barely a good start! I may have 60 or 80 counting folders, fixed blades and junk knives, I don't have an accurate count. I was doing a lot of buying for my collection about 15 years ago but haven't done much since then until 2012 when I got reenergized. I was going through my fixed blades that I had stored and I found a couple that I don't even remember buying!
 
A conservative estimate would be around 100 with the bulk coming from Spyderco, Kershaw and Benchmade, in that order.
 
I have mostly fixed blades, with my total blade count being 12. I actually have more than I thought I did :p.

Of those i have only purchased 4 of them, with the rest being either knives from my childhood, or gifts/contest prizes.
 
450. May seem like a lot, but I've been seriously Collecting for a few years and Accumulating for much longer than that.

Seem like a lot? That IS a lot. Is there anything else you own 450 of? I can say comic books from when I was a kid but that is about it.
