How many knives can you EDC at once?

Typically it's four; one larger folder in RFP, small folder in LFP and small FB slid into RFP for schlitz & geigles.;):D:cool:

Plus a SAK classic on my keys, prybar/blade thing in coat pocket etc. etc. etc... I might have a problem.

There are times where I just wanna see how many knives I can cram into my clothing, for no reason in particular. Has anybody else done this? Is this just something n00b knifeknuts do before they mature up act like adults by only carrying 1 or 2?

I personally managed 8 at once, with some Tru-Spec pants that had the extra knife pockets. 2 front pockets, 2 knife pockets, 2 back pockets, a necker, and a multi-tool on the belt. I felt proud of the accomplishment personally. :)

What's the most knives you've ever carried when going about your daily routine?

2 knives is the most I will carry at any given time. One as a main EDC knife and another as a backup. Frankly, I can easily get by with carrying just one. More than that is overkill. Carrying 8 knives at once is absurd. Do you actually expect to use them all each day?

I did a pocket dump, and I came up with:

1 Large folder (LionSteel TiSpine) as main EDC
Swiss Multi-tool with one serrated blade
GEC Bladeforum's 2014 knife in stag (slipped into the Multi-tool wrench slot)
CRKT Hi-Jinx (Just happened to be in my coat pocket for show-off potential, as I was going to meet a friend later)
Key chain Vic Classic
Wallet Titanium Credit Card knife

This is my normal EDC set-up, not including the Hi-Jinx, so that makes 5. I didn't realize I was this obsessed.

No, wait... I did! No shame in this at all. At least that's what I tell myself.

Leatherman Charge TTi
Cold Steel Ti Lite 6" Zytel
Cold Steel Mini Tuff Lite
Cold Steel Mini Tac serrated Tanto neck knife
A folding credit card sized knife in my wallet
Victorinox Mini Champ II on keyring
Leatherman Squirt PS4 on keyring
Mini folding utility knife on keyring

I should probably carry less.

I usually carry 2, either a folder or small fixed blade in my right front pocket, and a tiny keychain SAK on my keyring. I'll step it up to 3 with a fixed blade on the belt as needed(or wanted) for outdoor work, camping, hunting, etc....

Knife + multitool.

If I'm at work (dress clothes), the multitool goes in my bag and I carry a little Case peanut in my pocket

I usually carry two, rotate one larger (Military, ParaMilitary, Barrage, Large Sebenza) and one sub EDC (S30v Leek, Small Sebenza, Chaparrel, SOG Twitch 2, Boker Subcom). If I know I will be on a job site that day I will also carry my Leathermam. Outside of work usually just a Subcom 42 while in Germany or a Domino/small Sebenza when I'm in the states.
One hand open and locking you are allowed to posses but isn't legal to carry in Germany. Though nobody checks.
Just one hand or just locking is legal.
Fixed blades up to 12 cm are also legal to carry except at public events.
Double edged weapons (second edge longer than 4cm) are strictly verboten and so are automatic knives.
All other not outlawed blades can be carried only if you can prove what for. A Kukri on the way to your forest for example should work.

Usually 2-3 for me. A bigger folder (PM2, 940, or ZT 562CF), and smaller (Dragonfly 2 or Vic Cadet), along with a Leatherman (charge tti or juice s2) sometimes.

Usually a "tactical" blade an some kind of MT/SAK. I used to carry just a Leatherman Surge, but that bugger was a pocket anchor.

I'm carrying 4 at the moment: a Byrd Tern on my key chain, a GEC Talon wharncliffe in a leather sheath in my LFP, a small Fixie in a KSF pocket sheath in my RFP, and a Spydie Dragonfly 2 also in my RFP. Maybe overkill, but I use different blades for different purposes and I just enjoy carrying my blades.
All of this is in work clothes: slacks and a sport coat. :)

Hi KingMC -

I could carry a lot of knives every day, but that is not something that I would do unless I was a travelling knife salesman or such.

I do regularly carry two knives on my person, one traditional and one modern "clip knife" with one handed opening.

I do sometimes carry three, since I am a knife nut and enjoy my knives and occasionally I just "get a wild hair" to carry an extra.

I did have a related anecdote.

One day I was driving to a JK Handmade Knives Gathering at a central Illinois forest preserve.

The speed limit in the preserve is 5 mph. Have you ever tried to drive 5mph? It's tough to do, at least for me.

I was driving down the curvy, downhill park road going about 15 mph when I saw a lady driving up the hill going at a crawl. I slowed down because I thought she had spotted wildlife or something.

However, what she had spotted, I found, was a law enforcement officer taking radar.

The officer pulled me over for speeding 10mph in a 5mph zone. When the officer came up to my truck, inside he found me, and about 40lbs of knives of all kinds.....

He was very cool - I told him what was up and told him to come down for a hot dog etc.

He gave me a warning and told me to enjoy my day.

I probably had 50 knives, several in the front passenger seat, and many more in a duffel.

That is probably the most I have carried at any one time with me.

When I wear my Riggs I carry something like my credit card knife, Buck Metro on my keys, Gerber 06 FAST, Benchmade Griptilian, and a Gerber Suspension multi tool. so if you count the multi tool, 5. I carry 5 on me at work and most given times.

For work, my EDC is an Emerson Combat Karambit, an Emerson SARK, CQC8, a Spyderco PM2, and a Leatherman Wave. Some may get rotated but I'll always have my Karambit, SARK, and Leatherman Wave.

As many as I want to. Why? Who wants to know? Wait… Quiet… I think I hear those black helicopters again...:D

5 is my normal. Two slip joints per pocket (front), and a one hand opening folder in right rear.

Some times a few more, if I am goofing off.

I always carry at least 3 EDC
Spyderco paramilitary 2 RFP
Spyderco delica (weak side always) LFP
Case XX muskrat

Usually just 3-5. SwissTech UtiliKey, Leatherman Wingman, and a big folder or two. Sometimes an extra whittler, sometimes an extra multitool. My Wingman gets constant use, and in all reality I could rely on it alone.
