I was a strictly one knife guy for many (many) years. I'm thankful I eventually saw the light. Now I carry many for the pleasure of having always the exactly right blade at hand. Currently my EDC carry includes (jeans and sweater only, no Molle harness or multipocket cargo pants, sheesh...) : a small folder (Case Peanut, today) and the smallest Douk-Douk (in the coin purse, always) in the left pocket. A small fixed blade (Böker Beauty, today) in a sheath clipped inside the right pocket for light and gentlemanly duties, a Böker Winzer Messer (folder with blade, caplifter and corkscrew... always) in the coin pocket and a small fixed blade on the belt (Böker Nessmi, today) for the tougher stuff. Additionnally, I wear a Fred Perrin Street Bowie (skeletized stainless version) as a necker because it's the best slicer ever for ribs, ham, bread, cheese and in the sweater's pocket I keep ready at hand a Fällkniven Kolt for the tougher stuff that needs a blade over 3". That makes a total of seven... I can hardly believe it. Is it necessary ? Absolutely not (but I enjoy it immensely). Mind you this is only at home, in the garden and in surrounding nature. When going to town, I empty my pockets and most of the time keep (forget !) the Douk-Douk, the Peanut and the Winzer Messer. Which makes me already enough of a weirdo for the average people...
