I checked my purchase history expecting to find that I had bought 2 or 3 knives this year. Turns out I bought 7. I don’t regret any of my purchases and I’ll probably do something similar next year. 😎
 
I've purchased more than 50 knives this year, most of which have been Victorinox or Great Eastern Cutlery knives. I don't even keep track any more, hard to believe 2021 is just about over!
 
Zero. I haven't bought any knives in so many years, I've lost count. Probably about 15 years since I last bought a knife.
For the past decade, I've been selling off my collection, and I'm down to only a few pieces. That being said, I'm seriously considering a few different knives, at the moment, most strongly one or another of the Victorinox 93 mm Alox models.

I checked all my purchase records because I knew a guess would be lower.
I bought 31 knives during 2021

I was OBE in 2021 and only purchased one knife -- a Spyderco Matriarch 2.

I did, however, acquire a couple more cheap knives by doing a couple of membership extensions with the NRA... :D
 
I purchased more than 10 less than 30. I have posted this elsewhere but with the rise in ammunition costs (of which I consistently bought while prices were normal) I shifted my "play money" into more high end knives.

I don't plan their being anywhere near as many purchases in 2022; I have the large percentage of the knives I was after. About the only thing that could change that would be a UG CRK (I am still really wanting a large "Live Free or Die") or something unique from another maker (Spartan, Medford, etc).

Being rather contented in my current collection, it was definitely a slower year then most.
Bought my first Hinderer early in the year, and used a $50 gift card to a local knife store towards a new Alox SAK classic and a Buck 110 Slim... That is as far as my own purchases go...
Now for Christmas my wife gifted me a Tennessee exclusive Hogue Deka, so if we count that one, I'm at 4 for the year...

Hi Bob -- just a Plain Jane voting member. :)

I pay the membership fee every now and then, long before it's due, to let them know I'm still around. At the moment, I'm caught up for the next three years, but I have no doubt I'll be extending way before then. :)

I spoke too soon.

While I resisted the impluse to buy 4 knives that I was thinking about buying, a knife popped up on the Exchange that I just couldn't resist.

So my total for the year is up to 53, minus 1 sold, for a net of 52.

Unless something else pops up in the next few days (that I also can't resist) that should be it for the year.

Fingers crossed, LOL! ;)

I have bought 5 knives this year. No doubt I would have bought more if I could afford to.
