How many knives do you carry daily?

One in town, multiples if bush whacking. I tend to carry a large SAK, it tends to work in both worlds.

Sometimes I carry 3 (at least I thought, but I will get to that in a second). I carry a Kershaw Blur (tanto style blade half serrated) in my right front pocket. I sometimes carry a swiss army knife in my left pocket for just normal everyday stuff like cutting string, opening mail or boxes, digging out a splinter, etc. Now when I mentioned 3rd it is because i keep forgetting about the little credit card knife I keep in my wallet.

When I went to work I carried 4 and didn't realize it. I had the above, but I also carry a knock off version of a swiss army knife that my mother in law got me for Christmas one year. I use it to cut my food since it isn't sturdy enough to cut open a can.

9 times out of 10 I just have the credit card knife and my Blur.

Apparently I am afraid ;) I carry 5 knives and a .40 pistol.

1. Leatherman Wave II on the belt for most cutting etc.
2. Left pocket a Grayman Satu for cutting big things :D
3. Right pocket a Large Cold Steel Espada for self defence.
4. On my lower back a fixed blade karambit as last ditch self defence.
5. In my laptop bag a CRKT Hisshou for big problems.

Minimum 4, if the mood suits me sometimes more.
1) a "Superknife" utility knife, in pouch on belt
2) a "brand spanking new :)" ZT 560 rfp
3) a Boker Damascus bladed folder, sharp as hell :)
4) a BM 940 the "sharpest of all" :)

1 main edc (sebenza)
2 second edc (mnandi, Soldier, Gec)
3 multitool in the edc kin in the bag

Primary: large folder; today a Rockstead Higo.
Secondary: smaller folder; today kingdom armory mini Samaritan. I don't always carry a secondary, but there are certain situations where a smaller knife is better (sheeple.) Also good when you don't want to use a really shiny knife on something dirty.
Multi Tool: today; SAK Cadet Alox red.

usually one, sometimes two... and on a rare occasion, 2 (serrated & plain) and a multitool.

I carry a ZT 0121 (fixed), ZT 0350, ZT 0700, and a CS Spartan. Then there is the SAK Traveler, and a mini multi tool. Always having the right tool for the right job and the right blade type for the job at hand.

Update,

I carry 4 on me, and 10 or so in my EDC bag :D

I carry 2 at all times, a large folder for defensive purposes, like a CS Talwar, or CS Voyager XL then a RAT 1 or a spyderco stretch for cutting chores. When walking the Rottweiler at night, the CS San Mai III Trail Master is lashed the the hip, she's a real honey!

Usually 2. My BladeForums Stag Jack coupled with a more modern folder. Usually it's a Kershaw or Zero Tolerance.

It all depends on the situation. Clothing tends to determine the amount of knives carried. At the moment I'm carrying five if my Leatherman counts. In the warmer months I tend to carry eight.

I don't count multi-tools as knives myself. I seldom even open the blade of my Vic Spirit; too much trouble. But I do consider SAKs knives.

I'm never without my Schatt & Morgan stag 3 blade sowbelly with keystone shield. If I'm hunting or fishing, a few others may come along for the ride, but my sowbelly is old friend.

Typically for EDC it's two for me. Something like this (although it is more often a Victorinox than Wenger);

The bigger folder may also be selected from these;

With my current favourite large folder being the Emerson Roadhouse on the top.

The actual choice may also be selected from this group too;

I have a custom kydex sheath for the TDI which is a hybrid of tan scales and plan edge - if things look sketchy this gets added.

Pleased to have options!!

Cheers,

Ben

STILL carrying a .6oz Wenger Esquire and a Zero Tolerance 0566.

These two are keeping me very happy.

Usually two-a locking folder and some sort of multi-tool or SAK.
