How many knives do you carry daily?

Lately I've been scaling back a little on my carry load-out.

Today I'm only carrying . . . uh . . . let's see . . .

EKA (Normark) Swede 92
Leatherman Wave
Kershaw Pack Rat
EKA/Wenger Executive Major (SAK)
Kershaw Style
and, until 15 minutes ago when I took off my coat,
Case Sod Buster Jr. (Yellow, CV).

So, six, if you count the knife that lives in my jacket pocket.

Five just as I sit here typing.

A few weeks ago I would have been carrying another one as well, but since I started this new job, I need that pocket for all the keys and electronic fobs I have to carry for building, floor, and room access.

A pocket dump I did some time back looked like this:

Carried on my belt: Swede 92 & Leatherman

Carried right front: Case Peanut (today it's the Pack Rat)

Carried in that glove pouch: EKA/Wenger SAK and Kershaw Double Cross (today that's the Kershaw Style)

The one that lives in my jacket is the yellow handled one at lower right in this picture:

It depends on where I'm going, but never more than three.

It's usually two: a keychain SAK and an EDC main blade folder when I'm away from the house.

It's only the EDC main blade folder when I'm actually at my house.

Several. Buck 110 on my belt, one of several fixed blades on a neck/chest rig (currently a Spyderco Ronin), a Victorinox Farmer for food prep and tools, and one of many one-hand locking folders (currently a Kershaw RAM). Oh, and a Schrade 120T, because why not?

Usually just 1 and 1/2. My main folder has been rotating between my Spyderco Manix2 or my blue Benchmade 555 (or my Kershaw Leek when I need less pocket bulge) and then the 1/2 is my Leatherman Juice S2 that goes everywhere with me.

I carry a Kershaw Scallion 1620H3 in my front pocket, a Camillus WW2 TL29 in a small sheath on my belt and my ESEE Izula around my neck.

Im looking at purchasing the squirt. Im hesitant because I dont know if it would be do bulky for putting it in my pocket. How does it work for you for EDC? Do you like it better than say a Swiss army knife with a good amount of tools?

I view it as a complement to the SAK and usually carry both. The pliers are capable for the size as is the file and phillips screwdriver. As for bulk, it fits nicely on my keyring, hardly know it is there. Also can't beat the price at around twenty bucks.

I always carry 2. I have my caly jr. se in my lr pocket evey day and a big folder in my rf pocket.

The teeth on the caly jr. will cut just anything. Great little knife has not made anymore.

3 when I am venturing out, 2 folders and a fixed blade. For around the house a 4 inch fixed blade in a kydex sheath on my housecoat, I use that knife allot.

ZT301 Waistline
ZT560 Front right pocket
Spyderco pm2 Front left pocket
Benchmade spike Back right pocket.

On a daily basis at work I carry a Remora on my dogtags, a Manix 2 in my RFP, SAK Farmer in my RRP, SOG Powerassist on my belt, and a Boker subcom clipped into my left calf pocket. I also have an SAK classic on my keys. I sometimes throw in another small slippy just because. When I am off duty I usually just carry the Manix and farmer. I will also be carrying my micro recon as soon as it arrives. And yes, I do use them in all in some way, shape, or form everyday.

I carry a SAK Mechanic in a belt pouch and a S&W Swat AO (3.1 inch) with the pocket clip removed, in my pocket.

Lately.. My Carry Increased A Little.

Sage 2 - RFP
Manix 2 - LFP
SAK - Change Pocket

And I'm About To Start Carrying A Knife In My Back Pocket Again And A Flashlight.

It Sounds Like An Overload But I Manage To Use Each At Least Once A Day.

A few, but I think I'd be forgiven for a couple, since they're so small (and typically not the reason for which I carry the tools they're attached to):

My regular EDC (lately the PM2, 806D2, CRKT Ripple, & 710)
Leatherman Squirt P4 (tiny 1.5" or so blade here)
Swiss+Tech Utilikey (super-miniscule but useful blade on this one)

and then occasionally a Vic Tinker too, for another two blades.

Kershaw Blackout, Delica 4, or CS med clip point voyager in fob pocket of jeans.

Zt 0550, 300, cara cara 2, or Bone Collector in right rear pocket along with Leatherman Wingman.
