Wow, man, that’s a challenge. Congrats?

Are you working towards the perfect 5? Or just getting ride of the burden?
I’m at the point I’m keeping them based on capability. There are definitely certain makers I prefer to others.

A multi tool is mandatory

A good folder that actually cuts and stands up to rough use is mandatory

A durable fixed blade not too big to carry mandatory

I’ve been lucky enough to have had many knives over the years.. I guess I just know what works for me these days. I’m on the search for the most useful one tool option ( that does not exist).

I like it.

I was initially buying blades to serve a purpose. I got to the point, like most, where I’m trying to find a better option. Eventually, I’ll have to start scaling down as well.

I've been luck enough that a few of yours have ended up in my collection!

Lost count, so trying to enjoy my pics of knives to satisfy my thirst for more, realize what I have already got and why I like them. Helps some.😜

For the longest time I was holding strong at 10 fixed blades and 10 folders….20 total. I’m now slightly over 100. I never thought I would even come close to that total. 😳

In that case I feel sorry for people with an obsessive compulsive need to buy all the axes they see
"OH thats just jim, hes an axe hoarder, just dont go walking through his house at night, they're everywhere"
Reminds me of a Geico commercial, the people running from the bad guys kept hiding where they would be found, like the shed for of sharp objects and the guy just shook is head. Or like in Twister where they wnet to a barn for shelter but all the sharp farm implements were there.

I Forgot . . . ."Collectables".

Engineer's Knife, WW-II USMC . . . . . . . . .1
Engineer's, WW-II, 10th Mtn. Div . . . . . . . 1
"Demo", all metal, Late WW-II, USMC . . . 2

Family heirloom knives have been transferred into the custody of mour son and grandson.

Counting multitools and kitchen knives, but not counting my box cutters because I can never find them (ironically they are likely still packed in boxes in the basement), and taking recent acquisitions into account, we now have 22 knives in the house. But I'm not gonna change my poll answer because I'm my heart I'm a "20 or less" kind of knife owner.

I have a nieto campaña and joker becada coming, a spydie Lil native LW sitting inba box just delivered and a knives of alaska featherlight ordered last night. All I "need" now are 4 civivi knives then im done, again. We'll see if that sticks 🫣🤔
