How many knives do you own? Are you a collector or just addicted to buying knives?

I resemble this remark, although $300 is my most expensive purchase.
 
I figure I could carry a knife for 3 months, throw it away and carry another one, and never run out of knives for the rest of my life. :(
 
I don't have too many knives, maybe less than 20. Though they are all of somewhat quality.
My cheapest chef knife for work is about $400.
 
Kershaw blur glass breaker, sog seal pup elite, and the sog karambit. There will be a fixed fox karambit in my future.

I'm both. I have users and keepers and, in some cases, back-ups for the back-ups.

I have plenty of folders, more than I could ever use, but i really like fixed blade field knives and have more of them than time to get them (and their owner) afield.

Multi-tools and SAKs kinda don't count but I have them as well; you guessed it, users and keepers - with some back-ups. Do you see a trend here?
