How many knives do you own?

Recently sold about 30 so I'm down to 70 or so. Sold most of my "tactical" OHO type. Had to make room for more slippies!
 
Way to many but then not really enough as I have 2 Safes full of Knives and 2 Safes with Pistols ~ Rifles & Shotguns ~ & after the 1st of the year I am going down to Bentons Gun Shop & pick up another Safe.!** There is no such thing as enough "Toys" to play with and Candy to look at.** { but I do have 5 Son's who will get all of my Collections when I go and then they can see how many they can add } ~~ the 5 of them already have there own decent collection started anyway.
Only thing that seperates the 'Men' from the 'Boys' are there ""Toy's""..!***
 
I think I own around 45 or 50 but I plan to thin the herd a bit next year as my tastes have changed quite a bit.
 
I recently recently sold my collection of about 35 knives from Cold Steel, Benchmade, ESEE etc. And restarted now I don't have much of a collection but I have a knife everywhere I need one. I have 4 busses, a victorinox tinker, ZT 560, Leatherman super tool 300, gransfors bruks hunters axe and a mora.
So 9 blades for me. I plan to upgrade the the 560 to a xm18 and get a RMJ shrike, an OTF auto and a couple more busses and hinderers. I feel pretty confident in saying my collection will not get above 25
 
This year's Christmas knife will be #525 in the collection catalog.

It should be much higher, but I've been on "knife restriction" this year due to budget constraints caused by job furloughs and layoffs :(.
 
I have a fundamental problem. I never sell/let go of anything except items (knives, guns) I actually buy as gifts. I have given away about 30 good knives. I have been collecting knives most of my life. I have way more than I can use, but could never sell one. Doctor says I am OC. I did recently figure out that if I had not bought so many knives I could have bought a nice jet boat for salmon fishing. Oh Well. I keep finding a "better" knife. I cannot even bring myself to sell knives I do not like and will never carry. I keep buying carbon steel hunting knives even though I hunt in a rain forest and every thing rusts.

Slightly disturbing question. :) Honestly I don't really know and that scares me a bit. Not that many but a couple of hundred folders and a bunch of fixed blades. Like Ron I never sell knives. They often represent something more than themselfs for me and function as reminder of past times. Therefore I also own a number of really bad knives and even some I'm ashamed of.

170 william henrys, have owned about 800 over the years, have been thinning the head last few yrs
14 mnandi all but one are mammoth with most being bark
