How many knives do you own?

I honestly do not know how many knives I have. Here are some of the hilights.

Randall - I am not sure the model, but it was built in the early 80's and is no longer produced.
Bradley Alias and Alias II
Al Mar SERE and Mini SERE
Benchmade 610 Rukus, 710D2, 930 Kulgera, 940, 720, 960 (on the way), couple of Grips (not sure the models)
Kershaw Leek and Blur.
Buck 110
Cold Steel Recon Tanto and Magnum Tanto II and SAFE MAKER III
Kabar and a Kabar skinning knife
Colt Tanto (my beater Truck knife)
Spyderco Native (because everyone else has one)
Sog Seal Pup
Gerber LMF and EZ Out
Wildsteer Wild Tech
Numerous SAK's and a Swiss Tool
Leatherman Wave
A couple of stockman's

I am sure I am missing something, but that should be the majority of them.

I've been accumulating knives for over forty years. I don't even want to know the total. I'm sure it is over 500 by now.

Hi all -

I have 3 - most recently a Benchmade 3100 auto Benchmite, a Chris Reeve small classic Sebenza, and an old Benchmade Balisong that's probably about 15 years old.

I got the Sebenza about 3 weeks after lurking around this forum! You guys are a bad influence... Now I want a fixed blade too!

Edit: I forgot I have a leatherman and a SAK too - I guess that makes 5...

Cheers,
-Darryl

Sometimes it's better not to count. You may start adding up the cost of all those knives, at least the ones over $200.

.

Well, let me think.8 rolls at 60 knives eachand a couple hundred single pouches and somemore in the gun safe, and 4 on me,boy do i like knives. The rolls are mostly Schrades.

you know, I'v always been jealous of you guy who have 50 or 60 knives (don't even talk about the hogs:(, I would kill for even one busse.) I only have,

a kershaw storm (main edc)
swisstool rs, (other edc)
buck bantam,
vic ohf,
opinel something or the other,
puma bowie,
buck 119,
martinni big game hunter,
and a few muela's.

I had a buck 110 and a BK-7 but they were stolen during a break in. I obviously need more folders.

I had the last time I counted, over a hundred. When I quit smoking,to help me quit,I bought knives with the smoke money. Knives worked out cheaper. And you got something shiny and sharp to show people, not a pile of ash.

Sounds like you've been an ex-smoker for quite some time! Saving money was one of the things that helped me quit and stay quit. It was really effective, to me, to watch how quickly $5.00 a day in a box compounded.

It was a combination of visually understanding how much money I'd been wasting on cigarettes, and being able to reward myself for staying quit with things I liked and got to keep.

Anyway, current knife count is 13, down from 17 after I sold off some of the ones that just didn't "fit me" any more.

Just three and I am on the wait for the fourth one.

The ones I have...

Benchmade Osborne 943 plain edge
Camillus Quick Action Cuda 1 plain edge
Microtech OTF QD Scarab two-tone plain edge

Waiting for...
W.R. Clark Auto Destiny plain edge.

I'll try to keep it like that until I figure out what more I really need for my tiny collection.

Best wishes,
Edalb

The count is over 100 at this point, mostly camillus, remington and ka-bar branded but others as well. Two came into the house yesterday, a Schrade Avatar and a bone handled Parker-Edward lockback. The wife thought the Schrade was prettier than the Parker. Also just won another Remington bullet knife on ebay, up to three so far.

As someone else stated, I too have been collecting over 40 years since I was 8 years old, so over 1,000 now....

A couple of years ago I sold off a little over 200 on the bay, that left my count at about 150 after the sell off. I haven't recovered yet from seller's remorse. Ive tried to buy back as many as I can since that time. I have approx 200 now, about 70% are vintage slipjoints and the rest are more current clip knives.

Moral of the story is "Better to buy knives than sell knives"

Paul

About 300; I've been accumulating and collecting for over 30 years and still have almost every knife I've ever owned.

I couldn't even begin to post a complete list, since my catalog is not computerized. I have knives from Case, Buck, Benchmade, Spyderco, AG Russell, military bayonets, Schrade Old Timers, SAKs, Opinels, customs, Kershaw, Mora, Bruckmann, Paragon, Camillus, Soque River, Queen, Ek, Blackjack, Bark River, etc. A small box of junkers too "Made in China", "Made in Pakistan", Fury...

Those of you who don't know how many knives you own, I encourage you to begin keeping track. Where and when you bought each knife, catalog photos and specs, price, etc. Never know when you'll need the info - to hand the knives down, for insurance, when selling, etc.

Around 400, I bought a lot of new ones in the past few months but I also started selling some that didn't really please me.

I'm replacing most of my fixed blades with customs.
