How Many Knives Have You Given Away?

I'd say probably 20 or 30 in the last couple of years. Some I made, some I did filework on, others both. For a while there all of my friends at work were either retiring or leaving for other opportunities, so it became part of my routine to give each of them a knife I worked on as a parting gift. One guy actually got all teary eyed...apparently he appreciated it more than I'd figured he would. I love to give knives to people who otherwise wouldn't even think to get one on their own...it's surprising how many of them comment about how useful it was to have it on hand, now most of them carry daily.

quite a few to one lady over the years. I dunno, maybe 10?
several made specifically for individuals at no charge - maybe 8?
then I can think of 3 in recent memory that were given away from stock that didn't have intended recipients when made.
 
Not that many . I guess maybe 10 or 12 . Like some of the others here , I usually need to sell off some knives to buy the new ones I'm after .
