How many knives have you purchased because of this forum?

I also bought my first Blackwood , a Henchman , after seeing one Neil posted in a thread , which resulted in one LONG call to Florida :)

I would say that I bought well over 100 knives in the last year (10 on the way this week) and more than half are due to comments I have read here. I have added about 30 Kershaws and 25 Bucks and 10 Sogs because of this site......

Thanks to this forum I only buy handmade knives. Some expensive, some not. Some customized, some not. But all handmade.

I've bought several knives, but there are two that I bought solely because of this forum:

A Bark River mini-Canadian and a mini-Skinner. I had seen BRKT knives before, maybe once or twice, but I would never have tried them had it not been for this forum.

Also, I'll probably buy a Mora strictly because of what I've heard here. I've heard about them in another survival forum, but not with the praise and good reviews like have been given here.

Spyderco Native, BM 710, Ultimate Hunter, Fallkniven NL-1, USMC Ka-Bar, Case Large Trapper, ect.

Would never have even known about knives from Busse or Fallkniven if it weren't for these forums.

this forum has been responsible for me buying at least 100 knives, probably 15 surefire lights of varying kinds, and a lot of other assorted stuff too, its cost me a dollar or 2 lol, had a lot of fun though, and learned a lot too.

This forum hasn't contributed my collection much in as much with regards to reasoning as it has served as an enabler. I guess in a way I feel like I'm an addict with the makers and knives themselves saying "Come on, just try it, you know you wanna" and Bladeforums saying "Here they are". It really doesn't leave much room for a devils advocate.

I hadn't heard of CRK before this forum, so I guess you could say that my Sebenza addiction is directly related to BF.:)

5 or 6 mostly customs from the blademakers forum. Great knives and a great way to support some of the last true craftsman.

4 Busses
2 CRKs (soon to be 4)
4 Spydercos
3 Microtechs
3 Al Mars
3 Sogs (in addition to the 2 I had before coming here)
3 Benchmades (in addition to the 3 I had before coming here)
2 Bradleys
1 Sharpmaker
1 Edge Pro Apex
About a dozen of the official band aid holders from New Graham

You all are a bad influence on me! :p

Around 100 or so (all brands). I've been buying Sebenzas for about 7 years now because of this forum. Thanks alot people :)

years ago ( many... ) I was happy carrying a Buck Crosslock.... then I replied to a for sale post by G2 for W&H T10 Lancet Black & Tan....soon after I bought a Small Seb from him , then a Large.... then a Shinosky.....
now I have MANY knives in my safe , not all from G2 , but I blame him PERSONALLY for my addiction , fascination and love for quality knives... another person I blame is that Elishewitz fella , for all his customs getting " placed" in guns picts in American Handgunner.... as they say " the seed was planted " . ;)

I dont hold the rest of you responsible , though I am sure you all are in some way :)

oh yeah and thanks again G2 , Gary I owe you much thanks..... who would have thought 7 years after getting that W&H I would be making my own knives ( fixed blades ).....

Hehe, well said sir, well said but I didn't force ya, only tempted you :)

I started buying my swamp Rat knives because I read about them here, and I didn't throw out my TOPS Tracker because of some comments made here, So this forum has affected some of my decisions.

Im a kinda a newbie so only 3 so far.

erikson moras in carbon and stainless, and a stainless clipper just arrived today :)

i kept hearing about them in the wilderness forum so I had to try em

+ I have lots more on my wish list

Never much cared for the looks of the Spyderco line, so many people admitted they thought they were kinda ugly but said whew they're great, got a waved Delica and really like the fit to my hand, great tolerances etc. I just ordered a waved Endura, who knows where it will end, the look of that hump and hole on the blade is growing on me....

An equally good question might be what have people NOT bought based on what people say on the site.

It all started with a SS Spyderco Dragonfly. I'd guess around 30 or so. It has definitely slowed down since I got my Mnandi. Uh, make that since I got my second Mnandi :D .

So far I've only purchased one knife because of the forum. A Spyderco Manix. Never thought I'd own one of those weird lookin' hole-in-the-blade thingies, but now I do. All the chatter about how tough they are got me interested and now I sort of feel naked without it.

For you married guys, you gotta learn. My wife asks "how many do you have?", or when a new one arrives "how many does that make now?" I never lie. I can't answer because I never, but never count them so I say " dunnah" so I don't have to lie. Some where between 50-80.
