How many knives in your EDC rotation?

Kershaw one ton
Kershaw leek
Spyderco Endura 4 FFG
Kershaw half ton
Ontario rat 1
And soon to be Kershaw skyline as soon I get it in so 5 soon to be 6!

Right now this is the order:
- Spyderco Southard
- Large Sebenza Insingo
- Small Sebenza Insingo
- Large Sebenza Classic
- Zaan
- BM 710-D2 with custom scales
- Ritter mini with custom scales

I usually have two knives at all times, my main EDC and my backup that I carry in my watch pocket.
Main EDC:
PM2
Gayle Bradley
Large 21
ZT 560

Backup/Watch pocket:
Kershaw leek
Spyderco Harpy SS
Small 21

So 7 total in current rotation, but I never carry a Large and small Sebenza at the same time.

I have really consolidated my collection of EDC knives. I still have a couple fixed blades I use for outdoor business, but as far as EDC knives, I have a s35vn para 2 I use at work, and a Strider SnG I use outside of work. If I were to lose the para, it would not be the end of the world, (really it would just be an excuse to buy a m390 para :P ) but I am a bit hesitant of bringing the strider to work as it is a bit more spendy. I have nearly lost my para on two occasions at work already. I just ordered a m4 bm 710 though which I am pretty excited about! still, I just can't justify having a half dozen 150$+ knives to rotate through.

I probably rotate through about 30 knives - everything from a SOG Blink to a Cold Steel large Espada (albeit rarely). Mostly its Spydies and Kershaws, with several other flavors thrown in to keep it interesting.

I've got 4:

Brown Kershaw Skyline
Desert Sand Kershaw Blur Blem
Kershaw OD-2
Sometimes an Orange Kershaw Skyline.

I usually can't decide what I want to EDC that day, but 2 or 3 of these are taken' everyday.

I have around 100 knives, but these are the main ones I reach for first:

- Large 21 insingo
- Large 21
- Umnumzaan
- ZT 0561
- Kershaw Tyrade

For light carry, backup or around sheeple, I reach for a Mcusta Gentleman's or Al Mar Eagle.

These 5 make up my regular rotation:
- Spyderco Para 2
- Strider SNG
- Benchmade 710
- Benchmade 940
- Spyderco Sage 1

These represent about half of my folders (other than junk knives).

So far this year 4 for me.
Opinel carbone no.8
Craftsman (sears) 95044
Kershaw 1320 italy
SAK officier suisse at home is the go to.

I've got around 21 knives right now (not including kitchen knives and machetes) and all but 2 are users. 7 ti frame locks, 2 axis locks
and 1 linerlock are in my main rotation. So really 10 see 90% of the carry.
I think it's too many to give any one of them enough carry time but I can't seem to make myself sell any right now.

Vic Super Tinker + a locking folder, selected from: Leek, Skyline, Delica, Mini-Grip. I have a number of others, but most days, it's one of those four.

I have two separate rotations: work/church/dressy and all other times
I have 7 in the first group, and right now 13 in the other group. I almost always have 2 at a time if I am carrying the not dressy group. I have a few fixed blades that get yard detail but nothing else.
Choosing which knife to carry sometimes takes as long as the rest of my cloths!

I keep about six on an EDC short list:

(1) BM 940;
(2) Spyderco Sage 1;
(3) Spyderco Caly 3.5 (CF/ZDP189);
(4) BM 950;
(5) BM 710 (M390);
(6) Spyderco Gayle Bradley.

3 as of right now.

Spyderco Gayle Bradley
Spyderco Para2
Benchmade 940

I think I need to pick up a new Benchmade to throw into the rotation.

Spyderco Paramilitary 2
Spyderco UKPK
Spyderco Caly Jr
Spyderco Dodo
Spyderco Worker

Case Peanut
Schrade 807 Junior Stockman

The top ones are my main ones clipped to my pocket and the bottom two are carried in my watch pocket. So I guess 7 are rotated with some consistency.

I took a new photo Saturday so this is a good chance to post it.

This is my latest grouping for EDC. I am going to try to carry each one an equal amount but with this many I also need to decide if I should reduce the number a little bit. There are a couple more knives that I really want to buy but I would want to add them to the EDC group and it is already bigger than it should be so I'm trying to fight my buying urges.

Yeah, the reason I started this post is because I was wondering how many knives a person can really use. Around 5 is a pretty common response, so I guess I'm set for a while.
