How many knives in your EDC rotation?

Orange Military
D2 Paramilitary 1
Left hand large Sebenza 21
Sage 2
M390 Mini grip

Serrated Tasman salt is always in my back pocket so the plain edge blades get rotated around it.

Yeah, the reason I started this post is because I was wondering how many knives a person can really use

There is nothing that says you have to use every knife in your collection but i buy folders to use so i want to use them. I carry each one of mine for a week before switching. Maybe with a big EDC rotation i could switch to 1 or 2 days each.

Five or around there seems to be a common number.
I carry two at a time. I have around 22 knives and carry the majority.
I like them all so I try to carry them all.
I just kind of mix and match them daily as I choose to.

Currently what I carry consists of two of these daily:
CRK Large Sebenza 21
Spyderco Techno
Spyderco Chokwe
Spyderco Gayle Bradley Air
Spyderco Paramilitary 2
Spyderco Squeak
Spyderco Kiwi
Kershaw Volt SS
Blade Tech Ratel

Gonna try and work the modded Kershaw Tremor and the Kershaw Brawler in there.
And carry my custom SAK more.

Soon there will be a DPX H.E.S.T. 2.0 and Spyderco Orange Urban in there as well.

I rotate between a Para 2 and a Sage 2. Mostly the Sage 2 though. I carried the Para 2 for 7 months straight though before getting the Sage 2

Right now I have no rotation, it is the Southard only for the time being. However, I am waiting on the green PM2, which will surely be mixed in, and I have my Chokwe getting milled to accept the awesome Spyderco wire clip. Those three will be my primary three most likely. Then, I have a Sage 1,2,3, Stretch, and R.A.M. that I will still carry occasionally. After I got the Stretch, I realized I liked a slightly bigger knife more than say a Sage sized knife, and then came the Chokwe, Southard, and soon PM2.

I'm working on getting a better fixed blade for woods use, but newborns are quite expensive.

3 or 4 that are regulars, and another 3 or 4 that carried occasionally on a whim.
Usually a fixed, occasionally a folder depending on situation and surrounding populace.

Too many. I usually have a Case peanut, CV with chestnut bone scales. I have carried along a Remington Camillus made peanut, single blade, a gift from a member. Outside of that, a 73 single blade Tidioute trapper, with Beavertail wood scales, and a 72 Tidioute lockback, same way. Add on to that, a Gossman micro Kephart, 3" blade of A2 and cocobolo. If you think that's too much, let's try a Spyderco Bob T, and a 2012 Spyderco Starmate.

A two blade SFO Tom Sawyer barlow by Tidioute and the 2012 Bladeforums Traditional forums knife. 74 pattern saddle trapper, Tidioute make. The barlow and the forum knife make for a good combination, the 73 and 72 might be taking a break. I was trying to decide which one to leave home, why not take both?

Last but not least, a J Neilson Kephart that I originally had J build for me, traded, and then traded back into. 5" 52100 and cocobolo, Paul Long sheath.

I think I could get by on the peanut, for what I do most every weekday, but then again, I am a knife nut.

Oh yeah

I usually carry a large folder and a Small folder. so all together i would rotate between 6 knives for large folder, and 7 for small

I usually carry either the Bm 940 or kershaw salvo in damascus :D I also keep a skyline and one of those humongous utility knives made by kobalt with a box cutter, plain edge, and fully serrated edge in the car.

Like many others have said, I also carry two. I always have a SAK on me, usually the Cadet, but sometimes the Pioneer. Today it's the Cadet. The screwdrivers probably get nearly as much use as the blade. The SAK gets paired with one of the following, depending on whether I'm at home, going to work, or out running errands:

- Small Sebenza
- Spyderco ParaMilitary2
- Spyderco Brad Southard Flipper
- Spyderco Gayle Bradley Air
- ESEE Izulu 2
- Nothing! Honestly, sometimes the SAK is enough.

Of my folders, the Sebenza gets carried the most, usually to work and around the house. The PM2 hasn't been seeing that much use lately. I carried it a lot for more than a year, but I've found myself going back to the Sebenza. The Southard Flipper is the newest addition to my knife collection, and I've been carrying it as much as I can so I can get an idea of how it works/performs. So far it's doing well, but I've found it's not the greatest knife for cutting cardboard. The Izulu is a good small camp knife, and it's great for working out in the yard. The GB Air is my "suit & tie" knife and pretty much lives in my suit jacket. The SAK is always there, something like a "comfort knife" that I know I'll always have, and can always depend on.

Kershaw Chive - Work etc..., very non threatening and easy to keep sharp if I mess up the edge
"Boker Ceramic Tactical Pocket Knife" - for walking / exercising. Its got a big blade but weighs almost nothing. Its super fragile but could be used in an emergency with little regard for blade damage.

Like many others I almost always carry two:

95% of the time I carry my SAK Cadet along with one of the following larger knives:

BM710
ZT 0550
