How many of you are committed with Busse?

right now its Busse's only for me, i won't sell my old stuff because i feel as though i have a pretty diversified collection

Committed? Yeah, no question. I should be.

I do buy some other fixed blades but they are mostly small shop (Barkies) or custom. I usually can't afford other blades because I keep spending my toy budget on Busse.

I still buy Spyderco folders, custom's and 1 off's I find in my travels, and I picked up an HI Khukri (it's kinda an organic Busse). I've got a safe full of vintage NIB John Ek's from Richmond (which could buy some INFI if turned to cash)

But I'm BROKEn, and need to be committed!! There is no fixed blade knife (yet) that comes close to the performance I get from my Busse's.

We should book an asylum for the forumites

As long as it's close to a Fogo (or Fogo-like) facility....

Sign me up!!

Mmmm, Juicy Fruit....

For me its mainly Busse fixed blades and Spyderco, Leatherman and SAK folders.

Though I only have a couple Busses now, I can't see myself purchasing any other company's fixed blades down the road.

I still have to look elsewhere for folders, so until that fateful day, I suppose I'll stick with Spyderco and others for now.

Please hurry with the folder! :begs:

I collect knives, any knives I want. In the last 4 years apparently I've wanted Busse, SRKW and now Scrapyard more than any other. I still pick up whatever catches my eye. Currently carrying 4 different brands, all made in USA, including my Assault Shaker.

As a Piglet in Training (Amy's words), I keep trying to buy more Busse's but I am always too slow. Also, I find the secondary market a little out of reach.
Just as I decide I am willing to spend $400 on a given Busse, I see one on the exchange for $650. I have two Busses, 1 Swamp Rat, 1 Scraper. Not much compared to some of you Hogs. I truely enjoy some of your threads and humor. Oink On!

About 60% Busse, 30% early Buck`s, and the other 10% Schrades, Bark River, Spyderco, and Victorinox. Between 350 and 400 knives right now.

John

Yes, I too should be committed BECAUSE of Busse...

At least there will be a lotta hogs there....

AMEN!! PREACH ON IT BROTHER HAMMY!

For folders I own a couple of other brands obviously CRK and Emerson. Except for 2 knives that I really don't use, they just sit in my closet scared of all the INFI that surrounds them, all of my fixed blades are from Wauseon. And they are literally scattetred all over my house. :D

You sir are a HOG.
60% of 400 is a trough full of INFI.
A Cloven Hoof Salute to you sir.

I`ve been buying Busse since about 1992, so I seem to have accumulated a "few" over the years. ;)

Man where was I back then. :(
I'd like to get a "few" that were offered back then.
Maybe you could post a pic of the part of the collection that are your favorites.

Busse and off shoot companies now. I have lots of others from before I found Busse or maybe it's Busse found me? It's hard to tell, it's confusing but so , so comforting. Must go check on the Precious now... :o

I'm certified if thats close enough! :o

Busse and related companies are all that exist for me for the last ten or so years, its been a wonderful decade. :) Broke, but happy.

If the darn things were a little bit easier to get ahold of I think I wouldn't have a need for anything else. There are a couple of models that I would love to get my hands on, but I believe the longest one of those has been available is like ten minutes, and the other one I haven't seen for sale at all. Alas I need to get my fix from other dealers, and wait patiently at the empty through.

I bought my first Swamp rat a couple years ago.

I lost interest in pretty much any other knives.

Of course the next step was INFI:thumbup:

Thank goodness my addiction to Busses has not ruined Swamp Rats for me:)
