how many of you guys carry your sebenza in a sheath

Mostly I don't use sheaths for my Sebenzas and Umnumzaan and never for my Mnandis. Occasionaly I use a very close fitting leather sheath for deep pocket carrys of my large Sebenza. (I got the sheath with a custom folder once and the Sebenza fits perfectly with the sheath adding at most 1mm all around.)

I perfer to go clipless with the sheath.

I have exactly the same sheath and that is how I carry my Sebenza every day.

i like how the older leather sheaths have the full belt opening. belts come in all sizes, so you're kind of SOL if you're belt is a bit too wide for the new ones

I carry this one in a pocket sheath. (the Sebbie, not the Lionsteel! )

All my others get clipped in a pocket.

I have a slip sheath, either the one that comes with benchmades or a tan velvet one I got at a show
hate pocket lint/fuss to clump the knives

I carry mine in a slip sheath in my pocket -- kept the clip as it's occasionally handy. Keeps the mechanism from plugging up with dust/grit etc.

I called Chris reeve knives to find out more info on the older sheaths, and found that these sheaths are designed for horizontal and vertical carry. these older sheaths seem to be better built than the new ones.

Well, I am glad you called someone that knew that answer I had no idea that could go horizontal. Very cool idea, I just like to carry mine vertical though.

I carry large ones on the belt - CR sheath worn vertically. When carried, the small sebenza is in my pocket.

Carried my small line drive in a canted G2 sheath for years.

Sounds interesting. What's a G2 sheath? And, how much and in what direction is it canted?

I'm thinking of having a sheath made for my Umnum, and as I will be carrying it at 4 o'clock, probably tip-up and spine forward, was thinking of having it cant forward. But not sure how useful that is versus just sitting straight up and down.
