How Many of you Knife fans like to hunt?

Dude, 53 seconds in that Water Buffalo had an ear tag. Now where I come from those are cattle tags with #'s to keep track of your animals. I am not sure but if so.....LAME!

What did he do with all those pigs and buffalo? That many kills seems a bit excessive for the same species. On Safari at least we killed different types of animals, and usually not more than 1 of that kind.

Count me on the hunting. I love to be out there with my Son and my friends as much as I can. As for Lynn Thompson. If he's doing something against the law, report him, if not move on. I for one an tired of reading about his exploits here. IMO, beating the dead (LT) horse is more offensive than the man himself.

I have feeling that this going to be very very long thread:-)

I Love to hunt what I or My people with and around me can eat. I do not like killing things just because I can see them in my "sights". Now That is "LAME".

I Hunt with a Traditional Bow. and a Knife. Need to Be exta quiet and get Very Very close to sometimes dangerous Game. Every Hunter needs a Knife. Years ago I carried a Buck Special when Hunting. Then a Kabar D2 next generation. Now Usually a RAT Cutlery RC6.

> I know knives and guns go hand in hand, but I'm curious as to what are some of your thoughts when it comes to hunting.

Well, I don' have a gun, not specially interested in them in fact (and over here in Europe it's less evident to buy them anyway). And, I am simply neutral vs hunting. It's not an interest of mine, but I think I can understand the thrill.

I love to hunt, I've been hunting since I can remember. What bothers me is seeing all the high fences, protein feeders, and breeding control that is going on here in Texas.

This last season I spent most of my time hunting a river bottom with my open sighted Marlin .45-70, I find it a lot more fun than hunting a feeder, but to each his own.

I've only done it once. I October, I got an 8 point. It's pretty fun, I had a really good set up. I shot him from 100 yards using a remington 770 my dad got me the day before.

I hunt with a longbow hence my moniker. I ain't gonna look at the clip especially if he is using a knife or spear. I just don't care for that myself but if it floats your boat and it is legal who am I to criticize. keepem sharp

I'll take anywhere between 4 and 8 deer every year. We'll eat every last bit of it.

Other than varmints, if I won't eat it, I won't kill it.

Hunted my whole life. Shotgun, rifle, bow, airgun, slingshot, BFR.

This year I have probably taken 15 ducks and 7 or 8 rabbits. Heading out Goose hunting in March for the extended season.

Everything I kill gets eaten by someone.

Varmints are the exception.

Way of life, I am 39 now and have been hunting with my Dad since I was 9. Now my 5 year old is about to start hunting with us next year. We start in Sept hunting doves, then squirrels in oct, deer and ducks/geese Nov, through Feb, then finish up with squirrels and rabbits. We eat it all, last year my family and friends went through six deer and two went to teh Salvation Army kitchen. About 30+/- squirrels, 20+/- ducks, and well in excess of 300 bass/ceclia or speckled trout at one fish fry per month for whole family, wifes side and at least 30 fish per fry, and no telling how many pounds of crawfish were boiled. I have a bumper sticker on my truck that says Squirrel its what for supper, email if you want one as I had them made. By the way we deer hunt with and without dogs when we hunt with dogs we still hunt old school deep south style on horseback. Ya'll need to move down here, the fun never stops. Knives and guns are just another part of life, just like they should be.

mmmmm hunting. mmmmm guns. mmmmm knives. yes i love all three, if i could be out hunting everyday i would be

Australia's not really a Safari place, apples / oranges

Pigs are considered feral pests (a condition of obtaining a firearms license is to control the feral pests on landowners property)

The Buffalo was part of a killing quota for the Department of wildlife

With that out of the way, I wonder if he was registered as a lethal weapon upon arrival!

I hunt whenever I can. I eat everything I kill (Excluding pests and such)

It is a great joy to get out and bag my own meals.

I don't hunt, moral principle I suppose. Causing pain to a peaceful animal... I eat meat, however, and I believe if one chooses to eat wild meat by taking out an animal by hand (bow, gun) that's just fine. Pest control is something else altogether. But killing so you can taxidermy a head or snap a photo, or for the "rush". That's just weak. If you want to shoot something for no reason, fire at a target or join a war.

Lynn Thompson - who cares. He's the Ted Nugent of the knife world :D

I have no issue with anyone who eats what they kill, or share it with me for that matter. I like venison, but Im a little soft for killing bambi personally...I havent had many clean kills in my hunting experience, so I think its turned me off.

I don't kill anything that isnt a threat to me, my family/animals, or my property...but I wouldn't rule it out in the future. I sure would like to have a moose or elk in the freezer.

Pigs, deer, elk, game birds, rabbits, etc. As noted by others, I take them for food. Many non-hunters don't know that in most jurisdictions you can't shoot something for just the horns and leave the meat. In many jurisdictions, you could be charged with felony waste of a big game animal. And, as a practical matter, responsible hunters wouldn't consider wasting meat even if there were no law against it.
