How many of you open and close your knives while watching TV?

Yeah, I do it on occasion; not limited to just watching TV either. ;)

It is amazing how many people, especially women; do not understand this necessary exercise in manual dexterity. :D

I've found it's a lot harder to pay attention to what traffic is doing while flipping my knife when I drive. :D

Excellent man you open & close your "fixed blades" while watching the TV. I guess that would be more like brandishing them or sheathing/unsheathing?

:p in fact it's more the "ice pick grip/hammer grip" thing...

(First post, um... hi all!)

I wonder what the best knife is to "fiddle" with? Would perhaps make a good thread.

Of my knives, I know that the one I've played with the most, opening and closing compulsively for ages, was a very loose CRKT Montana Gentleman. Easy to open, easy to close. I did it over and over again, somehow just so satisfyling. Anyone who saw me do it thought it was a flick knife or some assisted opener (which are illegal here). It's not.

I am constantly working my knives; usually 3 to 5 on me most times. Knives are major interest where I work now and carry a gun at work too. I feel like a man again after working among sheeple in previous employment. My thumb assist knives were allowed at my previous job but they weirded out the sheeple. And I'm Always handling my Case slippies and Scagel.

I prefer executing cutting drills on the people in the TV show I'm watching, gives me an idea of the good spots to cut zombies or other bad guys. :D

I'ma be watching my Ravens tonight, long-distance from Philly. In one hand will be a beer or a sub, and in the other hand will be a balisong, most likely. Probably switch it up to work on some lefty dexterity, since I'll be sitting around at home.
Good thing the wife doesn't mind the click-clack.

Come to think of it, my gf does mind that I do it, but more because the sound distracts her from the TV. Maybe I can get her to start practicing with her knives...

You better hope Ray brings his A game or you might be putting the blade through the TV.:p. My Steelers had me working my BM Rift and ZT 0200 together one in each hand during over time. I didn't even cut myself.

I don't set and open and close it watching TV, but I love to open and close a OTF auto to the Adams Family theme song.

Well folks, I must admit that I generally stay away from the TV, too.
Yet... there are so many other occasions for extreme knife flipping, most of which were already mentioned in previous posts:
- when watching a DVD
- surfing the internet
- eating
- talking to the wife (she looks at me strange when I do this)
- on the go and, my favourite,
- when driving!

i do the same thing when im sitting around my dorm room. I dont use my knife very often on campus cuz of the sheeple so its nice to be able to open and close it a lil

I have to laugh...I caught myself flipping my BM Rift the other day driving down the road in my Dodge Power Wagon pickup with a NRA sticker on the back......I am such a clique :D
I do it while driving in traffic!!!
