How many of you?

The CQC-10 in this picture has been getting a lot of carry lately. I actually wish Emerson had a model with the 7 blade in the Ten's handle.

Even though I've been EDCing the 10 a lot lately, these three have logged the most mileage overall:

Great choices, OM. I confess that I too have a SE Police in rotation. Like Emersons, they have that 'je ne sais quoi'.

I also like the cqc 10 and the mini rukus. Both are fine carry knives.

AGREED! - I am a knife junkie and have been for years and years. I have definitely become an Emerson disciple since my first pseudo CQC-7 which was the Emerson collaboration with Benchmade as well as his SPECWAR fixed blade (a freakin beast of a knife!). It doesn't help that I also had the pleasure to meet and speak with him at length at a knife show a few years back. He is passionate about his products and I totally dig that. His products are made in the USA and I am all for supporting our economy as well as supporting a business owner who I respect and have similar beliefs with.

As far as phasing out my other knives in favor of Emerson's, I find that the only knives I own are Emerson's. I've handled numerous knives from almost every other maker. As far as folders go, I haven't been impressed by any other high end products (i.e.: strider, high end benchmade's or spyderco's) I feel that the Emerson's have a more solid and smooth deployment and lack of any play. While I'm not a fan of all of Emerson blades, I am a believer and will continue to deploy my Emerson's in my daily work and off hour kits.

(I must admit though....I have been eyeing a Spyderco Street Beat! SHHHHH!!!!!) LOL!

I've had several knives before getting a mini-Commander... just to see what the hoopla was all about. Started reading about Ernie while waiting for it to arrive.

Then when I got it, I understood... just like that. The more I played with it, worst cut was with it, the more I understood. AND I couldn't explain why. Felt like it was a missing piece of hand.. If that makes sense lol

Now in addition to that, I have a CQC-7V and just got a mini-Roadhouse last Jan. I haven't sold any of my other knives yet but I haven carried only mini-roady since I got it.

I felt the same way when I got a commander and then a cqc7v. It seemed like I was addicted to Emersons cause they were the only things that I would even look at and consider buying, but once I expanded to other companies like spyderco, benchmade, zt etc. and eventually to mid techs, the Emerson "addiction" kind of died. I'm not saying I don't like Emerson. I actually still really love both my Emersons. I know it's hard but you just need to get some variety in there =]

Have just ordered an Emerson Karambit BT, which will be my first Emerson. Favorite knives right now: Spyderco Southard, ZT 0561, CRKT Eros, in that order. Also have Blurs, Leeks, Zings, and Skylines. I have heard that waving the Southard is pretty easy with a zip tie, and someone also modified a 561 blade to create a wave (although that was a blem, I think). I plan to get the ZT 566 when it comes out. I recall drawing the 561 and having it suddenly open, though I'm not sure how it happened. Perhaps that aggressive jimping on the spine is enough to do it.

Good stuff, gang.
Does anyone ever carry an OTF?
Today, it's my Ultratech Tanto.

I got the BUG bad..

After only a week of carrying my Mini-15, I have sold 3 knives... with more to be listed soon.. I then preceded today to buy a CQC-7V, and a Mini Commander.. I found a dealer that had (5)Mini commanders for 125.00 shipped..I thought for 125.00 I could not pass it up..

I just really like the feel of my Mini-15.. and it makes me wanna significantly reduce the rest of my collection.

Cool! ^ Yull fit right in.
Thanks Dag. The Microtech OTF is just plain bad. Click it and stick it.

Our job here is done. ;)

I sold one of my Para 2's today... to a buddy on the forums..

I am surprised no one sent me a PM looking for the dealer selling Mini-Commander BT for 125.00.. Maybe that's not such a smoking price after all..??

You tell 'em, Al.^
Yes, keep one Para. That's my second favorite production folder.
And that IS a good price for a Mini C..

That is an excellent deal, Harley. As for me, I am just tapped out a bit for now. :(

The Protech is a fantastic knife!^ I had a Red 7 Auto but sold it. I cannot do the Aluminum... except for Microtech. I HOPE Protech will offer a CQC7 Auto with a G10 handle.
One more thing, since we all love how an Emerson knife feels in the hand, you all need to think about getting a Dozier fixed blade. Bob just nails the ergos!
